Animal welfare is important because there are so many animals around the world suffering from being used for entertainment, food, medicine, fashion, scientific advancement, and as exotic pets. Every animal deserves to have a good life where they enjoy the benefits of the Five Domains. Every animal in the world needs to be taken care by providing them food, shelter and veterinary care. The behavior of most of the domestic animals is mainly observed by how we treat them. If we treat them with good care, love and compassion, they will definitely show the same love and respect towards us.
As predators, cheetahs control the number of prey species in their ecosystem. Cheetahs' main prey are herbivores. Without cheetahs, these populations grow. This can cause problems such as “over grazing”: when animals eat all the vegetation.Cheetahs are facing different threats that are collectively pushing them toward extinction. Humans are threatening the species by infringing on its habitat, hunting .

Dear Sir,
Like human beings, animals are also creations of God. In fact, animals are not inferior to the people with regard to intelligence, capability etc. Animals such as cow and elephant are worshipped and treated with great respect.
We must treat all the animals with care and affection. The eco system gains a lot from domestic and wild animals. No form of cruelty should be inflicted on animals. Any form of killings of wild animals should be sternly dealt with .
Further , people indulging in the illegal trade on skins of animals, tusks of elephants, horns of rhinos etc . should be prosecuted on a fast track basis .
Our visionary PMJI is taking a plethora of steps to ensure the safety, welfare and protection of various animals . The pioneering efforts taken to bring 8 Cheetahs to India from Namibia merit special mention. This historic achievement, which no other government that had ruled the country had done since 1947 makes every citizen elated .
