Action Plan for Introduction of Cheetah in India India plans to restore the only large carnivore, the Cheetah, that has become extinct in independent India. This endeavor will achieve the following goals and objectives: Establish viable cheetah meta population in India that allows the cheetah to perform its functional role as a top predator and provide space for the expansion of the cheetah within its historical range thereby contributing to its global conservation efforts. Objectives of the project are- To establish breeding cheetah populations in safe habitats across its historical range and manage them as a metapopulation. To use the cheetah as a charismatic flagship and umbrella species to garner resources for restoring open forest and savanna systems that will benefit biodiversity and ecosystem services from these ecosystems. To enhance India’s capacity to sequester carbon through ecosystem restoration activities.

The basic interests of an animal are pretty much identical to that of a human. They need food, water and adequate space.

Animals are also the nature's creation and they also has equal rights on the natural resources as humans ..we as humans should not disturb the ecological balance by harming the animals because they have their special importance in nature. They also expects respect and protection from us, they also has emotions the need is that ,we have to determine to become animal friendly and should not disturb their habitat .As our ancient religious texts also tells us how to live in harmony with the animals and to protect them from humans exploitation there is also a rich tradition of worshipping them ...because they are also the nature's equal stakeholders.....

The importance of treating animal well lies in: Not considering them animals.. Or, as Sadhguru rightly mentions in one of his videos, we must not consider any creature subordinate to us.. It is important that the people must realize that they are not the superior form.. Infact, these animals are living a lot more "productive" and "fulfilled" life.. This is what life is all about. And Why/ How? Because they freely do what they really want to do! Not needing approval of everyone around them, or their society.. Not having people around to put them down.. They are free to make their own decisions.. Its humans who are bounded, not them! A food for thought!

Cheeta is an Apex Natural Predator at the top of food chain that may leads tropic cascade. Its main prey is Herbivorous animals. It indirectly helps the over grazing by herbivorous animals. A big reason for soil erosion and helping turning the forest to barren and also helps spreading diseases. We should support increase population by providing natural environment, so that ecological balance remains correct. Save the king of speed, fast and furious.....
