Animals deserve to be treated humanely and it is our responsibility as humans to treat them with compassion and benevolence. It is wrong for human beings to use animals for food, clothing, experiment or anything else. They can act as great companions in our life. We should not harass them for our selfish purposes. We should not beat them to perform the tricks for circus. We should not overload them for transportation or kill them for our needs. Animal welfare is important because there are so many animals around the world suffering from being used for entertainment, food, medicine, fashion, scientific advancement, and as exotic pets. Every animal deserves to have a good life where they enjoy .Thanks

Animal welfare refers to the quality of life experienced by an animal and encompasses how well the animal is coping with his or her current situation and surroundings.
World Animal Protection believes animal welfare is affected by the relationships human beings have with animals and it is our duty to ensure all animals are treated humanely, responsibly, and with respect.
This includes consideration for all aspects of animal well-being, such as the Five Domains. Animal welfare should be at the forefront of every human action involving animals.

As per our Hindu Mythology, Every God has a companion in the form of an animal. While worshiping them, we consider those animals equivalent to the gods and worship them all together. Hinduism teach us that every living being is connected to god (परमात्मा) and every soul (आत्मा ) is same. Hence we should treat all the animals with love, care, and respect as we want others to treat us and not any less.

Treating animals well is not an option but it is a compulsion in today's era. According to data 900 species have gone extinct in the last five centuries. The rapid loss of species we are seeing today is estimated by experts to be between 1000 & 10,000 times higher than the natural extinction rate.
Animals are our companions, our workers they provide us food, fiber, leather etc. The cycle of predating and becoming the prey is what keeps the ecosystem in order. Carnivores, such as Cheetah, hyenas etc prey on herbivores such as goats. The herbivores feed on grass and plants. In turn, these animals produce carbon dioxide, which the plants use for their growth & production of oxygen. When these animals die, their bodies decompose into the soil and provide nutrients for the plants that keep the cycle stable.
Animals are a vital part of the ecosystem without them the whole ecosystem would be collapsed. Therefore we should treat them well for the sake of our own interest.

All animals have the ability to suffer in the same way and to the same degree that humans do. They feel pain, pleasure, fear, frustration, loneliness, and motherly love. Whenever we consider doing something that would interfere with their needs, we are morally obligated to take them into account. Thus, every animal deserves an advocate when they're at their most vulnerable, and that animal care and education is a key component to helping enrich the lives of animals everywhere. If they live, the world lives.

Jīveṣu Karuṇā Chāpi Maitrī Teṣu Vidhīyatām
Indian Culture is deeply integrated with maitreyi bhavana and we live by the ideology Vasudeva kutumbakam.
Gita teaches that every living being is a part and parcel of god. Humans are blessed with superior intelligence and hence we are bestowed with a great responsibility to not just live thrive and take from the animal kingdom but also protect and preserve them.
Ruthless hunting and killing of animals have brought us to the brink of natural imbalance. We must not treat animals as commercially exploitable beings. They are important for food, shelter and clothes, but it's not the only reason to be kind to them. Predators help to maintain the ecological balance and preserve the food chain which is crucial for our survival. Malabar civet, pink headed duck, Indian Javan rhino and Asiatic cheetah have gone extinct. The Cheetah re introduction program is a right step. Let’s love these majestically beautiful creatures with all our heart.
