God must have created universe with thousand of species with certain specific objective of balancing nature. Humans are distinguished from animals by way of speech, intelligence, creativity and son on.
That doesn't make animals less important in the whole flora and fauna. It is primary duty of humans to integrate and respect lives of animals. If we human treat animals well in return animals will be helpful in keeping balance on the mother earth.
Importance of respecting and treating animals well is underlined in Hindu culture where every god has animal as their vahana example Mouse for Lord Ganesh, Tiger for Goddess Durga Devi and so on.
Let us pray for the well being of animals. Animals never harm humans on their own unless they fear danger.

Ahimsa- The principle of ahimsa teaches us to respect life. A favorite weapon of Mahatma Gandhi. We should not let this weapon fade. Ahimsa says- no living should be harmed. This land doesn't ONLY belong to us, they are equal partners.
Treating animal well is not just emotionally important but scientifically too.
Human life is impossible without them. Even a single species extinction cause problem for the whole ecosystem. We must maintain this ecosystem because we are the reason for this destruction. It's there right to grow. And we also can't take the right of our future generations to glorify these beauties.

Animals play a significant role in the stability of the environment, ecosystem, and our lives. They are excellent companions—especially the tiny mammals. The importance of animals cannot be stressed enough. Without them, our existence is not possible.

Namaskarams,
Animals are also living beings. Research shows that animals experience emotion. And, children who are gentle and respectful to animals are more likely to be respectful and empathetic to humans. For these reasons, it's important that parents understand their involvement in teaching children to respect animals. When our children understand that animals are important for the health of our planet, they are more willing to protect these animals themselves. And, furthermore, respect their existence.

Animal welfare is the well-being of non-human animals. Formal standards of animal welfare vary between contexts, but are debated mostly by animal welfare groups, legislators, and academics. Animal welfare science uses measures such as longevity, disease, immunosuppression, behavior, physiology, and reproduction, although there is debate about which of these best indicate animal welfare.Respect for animal welfare is often based on the belief that nonhuman animals are sentient and that consideration should be given to their well-being or suffering, especially when they are under the care of humans. These concerns can include how animals are slaughtered for food, how they are used in scientific research, how they are kept (as pets, in zoos, farms, circuses, etc.), and how human activities affect the welfare and survival of wild species.
Finally I conclude saying that animals are our friends, treat them well.
The land without animals is like a bird without wings.

All living beings including animals are integral part of the eco system for the survival of earth. They balance the nature. In our greed, if we do not protect the animals, then the day is not far away, where the earth willl face the dooms day. As per upanishad mankind needs to practice Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.
It's our moral responsibility to protect the animals.
Best Luck to project "Save Cheetah"

We should at least respect the nature. If can not do better, should not destroy too.

Animals are very important for our planet as they help in stability of the environment and the ecosystem of our planet. So treating them well is most important things as Human we should do. They are excellent companion and their importance cannot be stressed enough as without them our existence is not possible.
It is very important for us to understand that they should not be harmed at any means because they are most important part of our ecosystem. Animals be it any kind, they are inspirational as they just know how to give unconditional love to humans. They are our natural forces.
From ancient times to till date they have been helping us in so many day to day work and have become important part of our lives. We should treat them well and respect them.
