मनुष्य व पशु-पक्षी एक दूसरे पर निर्भर होते हैं। जब हम एक-दूसरे पर निर्भर हैं तो पशुओं के प्रति ऐसा ही व्यवहार करना चाहिए जैसा हम आमजन से करते हैं। बेशक जानवर हमारी भाषा न बोलते हों, लेकिन संवेदनाएं तो मानव जैसी ही रहती हैं। जानवर भी कई बार अच्छे मित्र या सहायक सिद्ध होते हैं। मानवीय संबंध कहीं-न-कहीं स्वार्थो से जुड़े होते हैं, लेकिन मनुष्य और जीव-जंतुओं का संबंध बिना किसी शर्त और स्वार्थ के होता है। यह संबंध मनुष्य में अच्छे गुणों का विकास करने में भी सहायक है। पशुओं में मन के भावों को समझने का गुण मनुष्यों के गुण से ज्यादा विकसित है। अतः जानवरो से प्रेमपूर्वक व्यवहार करना चाहिए ।
