The vibrancy of Vadodara has inspired generations before, and continues to awe the nation with its cultural inclusivity and cosmopolitan demographics. Situated on the banks of river Vishwamitri and 139 kilometers from the state capital of Gandhinagar, Vadodara domiciles 2.2 million citizens as per 2011 census.
In the Round-1 of Smart City Challenge, citizens of Baroda envisaged an urban town model which had an ambitious approach towards sustainable growth using Information Technology and other progressive infrastructural methods. Vadodara has now been nominated for the Round-2 of the Smart City Challenge wherein an updated proposal for Smart City will be pitched against 22 other competing cities in India.To make it a successful citizen centric initiative, Vadodara Municipal Corporation invites you, the citizens of Vadodara to share informed suggestions and opinions for making Vadodara an inevitable ‘Gateway to the Golden Quadrilateral’.

Your suggestions are the most imperative input for formulating a vision and implementing the same. Help us innovate and transform our city in to a Smart City.

Is there a master plan for maximum usage of alternative resources for Energy Conversation that saves conventional resources for our future and maintain the environmental policies?

Footpath on both the side of the roads, and Tree plantations and nurturing so that it develops natural green tunnel feelings to the citizens

વડોદરા શહેર અને તેની આસપસના પરા (વુડા હદ) વિસ્‍તારમાં છેલ્‍લાં કેટલાંક વર્ષોથી જાહેર પરિવહનની વ્‍યવસ્‍થા કથળી ગઈ હતી. પરિણામે વ્‍યક્તિગત વાહનોની (ટુ વ્હીલર્સ, ફોર વ્‍હીલર્સ) સંખ્‍યા ઉત્તરોઉત્તર ભયંકર રીતે વધવા પામેલ છે. આમ, વાહનોના ફાટી નીકળેલા રાફડા ને કારણે શહેરમાં ટ્રાફિક સમસ્‍યા વધવા પામી છે. તો ભવિષ્‍યના બે થી ત્રણ દશકાઓ સુધી સુચારૂરૂપ રીતે ચાલે તેવી અને જાહેર જનતામાં તેના પર પુન: વિશ્વાસ સંપાદિત થાય તેવી જાહેર પરિવહન વ્‍યવસ્‍થા ઉભી થશે ખરી? કયારે?

I would like to suggest! 1. Dog catching van. To catch dogs and even cats roaming around in street. Keeping them in proper care and available for adoption. 2. Security cameras on every street light. 3.Free wifi connection across the city beautiful. 4.Young and helpful traffic police. 5.An Ambulance lane. Only for Ambulance service 6.Digital Parking facility 7.Shelter for poor class 8.A Fine of Rupees 500 on littering the streets. 9.Garbage cans at every locality.

Our Vadodara city is heavily loaded with Enthronement like Lari, Galla, Rakadi etc. In Main road there is a Temple laying at the middle of the road. This kind of hurdles we shown every most of the city's main road. Municipal Corporation main office there is few trees are shown. Instead of every 10/13 feet area corporation should plantation of trees.

Lot of inventions are took place for making drain water drinkable or for other use.This kind of technology to be used so that water can be saved and reused. There are some society in Vadodara using this kind of technology.
