How to treat a woman has to be taught by his Mother at a very young age. Woman should not be used as an object for entertainment or amusement. They are the real source of strength to us. Without her as a Mother/ sister/ wife/ daughter, we are incomplete. unfortunately in this world her physical assets are exploited by men for their own greed for earning. Media has groomed her as an item girl, hence this perception should be changed at all levels.

We need to change the mind-set of the public, particularly the men folk, who need to be advised to respect girls/women of all ages; and this needs to be strongly inculcated in their minds right from the childhood. A boy must understand that he needs to respect not only his mother, sister/s, aunt/s, but every girl/woman whomever he comes across; only then our society can become a safe place to live peacefully!!

One of the things I've noticed is that young boys are taught not to cry by telling that it is a girl habit. Is being a girl that insulting? People should change their mindset that girls are quiet and are submissive to the whims of others around them. In a country where women are achieving a lot, I feel that necessary credit must go to them. Being a woman is tough and its time that every one around realises it and treats us with the respect we deserve.

co- education : the things start from thinking about co education . first we have to change to being separate . boys and girls should be too interactive to can't thing about negative thought . i majorly see that innocent girls are rape more than Frankel girls so i want to only suggest you. be a part of interactive don't differentiate them , it will surely give more better in next coming year, thank you

Boys should be taught to respect girls by parents and by teachers so that from there childhood they become morally civilized and another important thing is that government should initiate a programme in every school that girls should be taught self defence techniques so that they can become strong, confident and face problem on their own and not always depend on others to protect them on daily basis. Also policeperson should be more friendly. I want to urge our govt that please consider this.

This is a major issue ,even in today's era and in top institutions boys have that old age thinking of male dominance in every area. They do not support girls in many tasks ,however they expect the same from girls if need be because they are guys and they are entitled for that but not girls.girls too have a thinking so perfectly woven in their mind which they do not tend to oppose about it and happily accept it.It is really bad and girls should raise a voice against it.

It would be welcoming if the Country could invest community education to address gender inequality & child abuse on a similar scale as Family planning initiatives. Give tax breaks to Corporations who invest in such initiatives and develop their local communities. I believe the country needs to address this issue now and promote radical cultural change. Let the spirit of Nirbhaya & the likes guide us thru' this conviction. We owe this to such victims, our mother, wife, children & friends.

The principle of gender equality is enshrined in the Indian Constitution in its Preamble, Fundamental Rights, Fundamental Duties and Directive Principles. The Constitution not only grants equality to women, but also empowers the State to adopt measures of positive discrimination in favour of women.
