Post Doctoral Fellowships should be initiated at all departments/centers of IIT's/IISER's/IIM's so that Ph.D passouts of these prestigious institutions get research exposure and become trained to become faculty memebers at such institutes. Each IIT/IISER should give research grant of Rs 3 lakhs to each Ph.D student so that he can publish and present 3 research papers in international conferences outside India during his Ph.D.This global exposure of Ph.d students should be mandatory.

There should be one IIT, one IISER, One IIM, One AIIMS in every state so that students of every state get an opportunity to study in a prestigious institute. State which are big in size or large in population should get 2 IITS/2 AIIMS/2 IISER's/2 IIM's so that students get equal opportunities. Also faculty members will have options to work in the state of their choice which is closer to their hometown.

Most of IIT B.Tech's go to IIM's/US universities, and spend 6 years (4 years in B.Tech and 2 years in MBA/MS), but if they have a 5 year dual degree course at IIT itself they will save one year and contribute more effectively to job creation within India. NIT's should also have 5 year dual degree programs only rather than B.Tech programs.

Ph.D stipend in IIT's/IISc and IISER's should be increased from existing RS 24,000 per month to Rs 50,000 per month so that we can attract best quality of students in Ph.D programs. B.Tech and UG programs of all IIT's should be converted to B.Tech +M.Tech or B.Tech +MBA degree programs as India needs more prost graduate students for creation of R&D jobs in Science, technology and management in India.

UGC should revise qualification for Faculty and specify additional requirement of minimum 3 years industry /practical experience in the field for which the faculty is going to Teach. Teaching pure academics does not take note of the ground realities ,times have changed ,please allow more people from industry to take up research get Phd and take up teaching to improve standards. Stop practices as followed by IIT madras asking for student who passed their PG before 10 years to take test prior phd
