Victims of human trafficking who are forced to beg by organized criminal beggar gangs should be rescued and rehabilitated. Please treat boys and men equally to girls and women in this case. The rehabilitation should be done, if possible, far away from the cities so that they are not approached or threatened by their old masters. Treat the victims as like protected persons, as rescued sex workers and protected witnesses are treated. Give them new identity, skills, some cash and resettle them far.

Treat rural and urban begging as separate issues. Rural is a socio-economic problem and can be redressed by providing better jobs,100+ day work, etc. Urban begging is organized crime often linked to human trafficking.. It is an eyesore and causes embarrassment. It negatively affects tourism and foreign attitudes towards India. Treat it as major crime. Identify & punish criminal gangs, local politicians, faith leaders, traffic coordinators, etc., who profit. Incentive those who help stop it.

Begging has became a business. The biggest problem today is that begging has become a family business. we must look for the initiatives to resolves this problem. Awareness drives for the beggars., government must adopt children of beggars & educate them so that they don't become victims of this social evil.
