The Government of Puducherry and Oulgaret Municipality express its hearty thanks to all its Citizens for their continued overwhelming support and response for their valuable suggestions, views and ideas through their active participation in this MyGov.in platform for co-creation of Smart City Proposal.
As part of citizen engagement & consultation process for preparation of Smart City Proposal, Government of Puducherry and Oulgaret Municipality organized a multi-faceted activities such as Constituency-wise consultation with the citizens, Focus Group discussions and consultations with Industrial Associations, Engineers, Architects, Women Self Help Groups and other Stakeholders, besides conduct of Essay competitions, Photo competition, Painting competition. Also there remained active participation of the general public through social media such as Facebook, Twitter, MyGov, SMS, Mobile which enabled every interested citizen encompassing all age groups and sections of society in expressing their views and discussions about the promotion of Smart City.
On the basis of thousands of suggestions received both in offline and online from citizens, the Government of Puducherry & Oulgaret Municipality in co-operation with its Consultants has prepared a Draft Smart City Proposal document in a meticulous manner for the City which encompasses different aspirations and dreams to be realized for the city. This draft Smart City Proposal which was prepared with the valuable ideas of the general public needs people accent to make it to the final Smart City Proposal.
So, we invite all citizens of Puducherry to participate in the Round-3 of Citizen Engagement process and give their valuable suggestions and opinion about the ‘Draft Smart City Proposal’ to fine tune the same so as to enable this Municipality to submit the best ‘Smart City Proposal’ to the Government of India.
