World Mental Health Day is celebrated on 10th October every year, with overall objective of raising issues of mental health around the world and mobilizing efforts in support of mental health. Based on this objective, MoHFW is taking a unique initiative to inspire people with the stories of achievers who fought with any kind of mental health illness. Being open about mental health experiences and the journey of overcoming the same might be beneficial for others who are seeking for help to fight mental illness. To bring together the achievers (who fought with mental illness) as well as the seekers (who are looking for help to overcome mental health illness). Ministry of Health and Family Welfare invites people to share and inspire.

This World Health Day, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare invites people to share how they or someone they know fought with mental illness and came out with flying colours. #ShareToInspire

I am a student. I suffered with severe OCD, depression and Seasonal Affective Disorder. Last year when I was in std 12, I suffered with the most severe panic attack and intrusive thoughts of my life. I researched a lot to know more about myself. After knowing my problem, it took me almost a year to reach out for help. But I did it. I am on the path of recovery. I am much more stronger than before. I still have intrusive thoughts because recovery is a long process, but I'll fight #ShareToInspire

Gravity is also needed to germinate a seed other than temperature, water and air. Because with out gravity, the root will go up side down. Similarly the growth of the atoms, the brain. We make yoga by making our head upside down. To supply blood. We can see a red mark on a thread structure inside egg embrow. That later become chicken as it expand on heat. Similar exercise is performed in formation of atom from package of energy or quanta. This quanta grows in presence of gravity.

I am an IRS officer who has battled Major Depressive Disorder for a long time. I used medication, psychotherapy, yoga, meditation and exercise for fighting the illness. I've written a book titled 'The D Word: A Survivor's Guide to Depression' to spread awareness about mental health, to fight stigma and also to hold out hope for other sufferers and their families. In recovery now, and I've been free of anti-depressants for more than 1000 days and continue my work for mental health awareness.

Birth with sound/normal physical mental health is great gift to human beings for life. At later stage - physical cause, hormonal imbalance, shortfall of neuron connectivity, competitions, aspirations, stress, issues/problems, unknown reasons all causing degradation of mental health. One should practice, how he/she fight like lone crusader

Respected sir, Namaste. #Mental Illness:- It is caused due to biological or environmental factors. Gene also plays an important role in transfer of mental illness from parents to their children. Lack of good nutrition or changing environment is also a factor of mental problems. We get relief from mental problems by yoga, meditation, changing lifestyle and proper balance diet..
