In recent years, the Government of India, under the your able leadership Sir, has emphasized the importance of holistic health, preventive healthcare, and wellness among citizens and government employees. Alarming statistics on rising obesity, diabetes, and lifestyle-related disorders—especially among working professionals—underscore the urgent need for nutritional reforms even in our daily administrative culture. A significant contributor to this health crisis is the regular consumption of high-calorie, low-nutrient snacks—such as samosas, pakoras, sugary tea, biscuits, and artificial juices—often served during official meetings, seminars, and events in government offices. It is proposed a policy shift toward serving fresh fruits, coconut water, millet based snacks and lime juice or healthy drinks as healthier and cost-effective alternatives. This step will not only align with India’s preventive health goals but also reflect a forward-thinking administrative culture.
