As developed nations, we should have to adopt strict Traffic rules. In India major problems are signal breaking, selfish parking sense, no lan driving rule, speed driving, passenger vehicles driven with out public sense, corrupt traffic mans etc. All those leads to drive more to reach even near by place and results in more fuel consumption as well as pollution. Strict norms can cut 20-25 % fuel consumption and pollution.

I suggest the govt. should promote cycling in major cities, this has double benefits it reduces the use of fuel resulting in lowering pollution levels & improves the health too. but for this govt. should have separate cycling lanes as it is done internationally. another this which should be done immediately is changing the street lights to solar powered led lighting system in all major cities.
