Dear sir, where river is, there development is. you cannot stop them. You can channelise the same. We can make cannal to both side of river where all contaminated water flow with ganga river upto the sea. On overflow there is no problem. And in normal condition canal will flow all contamination to the sea without affecting main stream. The canals maintenance canbe survive due to marine transport.

As per my observation, the population through out the banks of River Ganga from Nepal to India is too dense. Either the population needs to be diverted slowly or the same population should be used for Clean Ganga Abhiyaan, The localities can do more than any one else who is new to the place, they know their needs and priorities well. They know about their place and the problems faced by them, the only thing we outsiders have to do is to strongly educate them about the cleanliness.

I wonder if anyone of you have visited Mysore Zoo in Mysore or Banneghatta National Park in Bangalore. They have an auditorium which plays movies regarding animals and their importance, their existence. It also educates us about the needs of the animals etc. This has brought a drastic change in the minds of people here regarding animals. I think the same strategy should be used for the " Clean Ganga Abhiyaan ". anybody who visits Ganga should be educated via a good video once their visit is done

Sir, Clean Ganga is a very big issue. This is not done by any individual,in this program every department also co-oprate with working ngo's or individuals.

(Kashi)The priests of the temples are themselves reckless. They should be strictly told not to keep asking for money. The sanctity of the place is lost in their ruthless demand for money. They have to be like lighthouses reminding people of the holiness of Ganga. The boatmen also menacingly extract money. This has to be made unlawful. A flat rate has to be announced for boat rides by the gov. People should stop spitting pan and blowing their nose into the Ganga.

1. highway connecting Rishikesh should be improve. 2. Beggars on the side of Har Ki Podi should be remove. 3. New Ghats be created. .4. Asthi Visarjan (अस्थि विसर्जन ) not on Har ki Podi. 5. Fine should be imposed for dumping dirt / garbage here and volunteers should appoint for this purpose. 6. Some drains are connected just before Har Ki Podi should be closed. 7. Some unauthorized construction near Har Ki Podi should be removed. 8. No change room for ladies at Har Ki Podi.
