As part of Adoption Awareness Month 2025, the Central Adoption Resource Authority (CARA), Ministry of Women & Child Development, Government of India, in collaboration with MyGov, invites citizens to take part in the Mascot Making Competition.
The aim of this competition is to encourage creative public engagement and spread awareness on adoption of children with special needs (Divyaang children). The mascot should symbolise love, care, protection, and the right of every child—especially those with special needs—to grow up in a safe and nurturing family environment.
A thoughtfully designed mascot can serve as a powerful and lasting symbol for advocacy, campaign visibility, and outreach—representing hope, inclusivity, and equal opportunity for all children. The mascot should embody the essence of Adoption of children with special need awareness — raising awareness about eradicating myths and shifting mind sets. CARA is looking for a character that is engaging, approachable, and appeals to people of all ages and genders. Think of an iconic figure - simple, memorable, and impactful.
