A mass compaign should be run as Swach Bharat Abhiyan for saving energy and govt should free C.F.L and LED lights from tax.subsidy should be given on led lights.rather than it govt should provide sollar energy sources at a very affordable cost.

We can use solar lamps throughout india specially for the street lights.

As LED lights gradually replace CFL bulbs across the country, the issue of safe disposal of CFL bulbs, which contain mercury, becomes very important. Govt. should set up collections centres in major cities where citizens can deposite used CFL bulbs.

why cant we use concentrated solar power led's save energy but how many will adopt it

There are various LED bulbs,whose upper layer can give more transmission of light.

1. Increase availability of LED lights 2. Spread awareness 3. Give initial subsidy for buying LEDs 4. All the new buildings should be made to have mandatory LED lights (at least in areas like parking, lobby etc) 5. Ban filament bulbs

is it possible that government BANS the manufacture of filament bulb. in my opinion india me kabhi bhi filament bulb ka use nahi ruk sakta jab tak ye market me available hai.kyon ki india ke maximum villeges me fix meter ke system par electricity supply ki jaati hai. ye syatem kab band hoga ye political matter se jura hua hai.par is se log apne gharo me cfl ya led bulb nahi lagate kyonki unhe bijli meter jyada aane ki chinta nahi hoti. gov wasi bulb companies ko tax me relaxation de sakti hai.

Why can't the street lights have(also highway lights) have LED lights. They can replace the sodium lights. Also sensors which automatically switch on the lights at night and switch them off during daytime. Many lights are found turned on during daytime wasting precious electricity.
