The girl child today faces inequality and gender based discriminations even before birth. The nation cannot move forward unless women are given opportunity to realize their full potential and contribute to nation building.

Given this context, please share your thoughts, ideas, suggestions and feedback on how we can change the discriminatory social construct in order to celebrate the girl child. What should be our communication strategy for improving the situation and reach out to people?

If a female politician is going out alone in night, nobody dares to touch or even harass her because there will be consequences to that but what about if there is a common girl in place of female politician. We have seen the animal instinct of the men in some recent cases and that was because there are no consequences to harass a common girl. Girls can only be protected if there are consequences of harassing a girl. Laws should be amended and made as strict as possible.

Sir, People always say the law should be strict and that they want to ensure by making the punishment sever e.g. 10y imprisonment in place of 4y or death sentence in place of life term or so. A criminal does not commit crime looking at term of punishment that ok I will go for 4y term crime and not for 10y term crime. The rule of law is seen when we are able to show that no way a perpetrator will escape. Any influence or relation or money can not save him. We need character in police action.
