The girl child today faces inequality and gender based discriminations even before birth. The nation cannot move forward unless women are given opportunity to realize their full potential and contribute to nation building.

Given this context, please share your thoughts, ideas, suggestions and feedback on how we can change the discriminatory social construct in order to celebrate the girl child. What should be our communication strategy for improving the situation and reach out to people?

Replace the fear of jealous competitiveness with fair healthy positive competition within school kids . As a kid I was always wished by my parents to excel and that was a pressure and impeded my confidence dev which is totally different in first world countries .need more encouragement and constrictive criticism and not competition fear . Pl let us not rob the carefree childhood years from our lil generation .let them live carefree and bloom into a happy flower for a happy country

stress free practical education at school with activities that stimulates self learning I see many Indian parents help ( many times panicking and do their kids school project) rather than encouraging kids to do it on their own .we need to teach parents that help should not be destructive to ur own childs progress ... One failure or lesser achieve the should not fear parents or kids as this impedes the childs lifelong initiation and confidence skill More parent teaching needed along with PTA

Educate girls to be Needdarr and say no to any type of abuse .... This makes them confident to stand on their feet and fight out any nonsense pressure and unhealthy expectation but gain equal respect as male counterpart from society

Sir, I have a group of professional friends, who want to give specific hours weekly for educating the kids who go/don't go to school. Can you develop a chain which can manage such management activities. I am shortly starting such endeavour soon but it will be limited for my area. I want to give more contribution. I wish help from your side... Request your highness to extend your arm to our support..

It is really a shame to write this as a woman myself that my nation is under such demonic practice. If we do not respect woman then d whole system will be of no use or impact as it is always a woman of d house who carry forwards d culture. We are going towards a dark night, if our women do not feel safe anymore or they r not encouraged to be independent. V need to save girl child n nurture her in a safe atmosphere to make a stronger generation next...I'm all committed for it

Educating children irrespective of gender is necessary. I understand that poor young children are forced to work due to the economic conditions but can we not put up evening schools for these kids so that they not only earn but educate themselves as well. Their parents shouldn't see it as a problem then
