The government should take necessary actions to improve the social status of teaching profession. The current pre training programs (TTC, Bed etc) should get reviewed in such a way that the teachers should have basic knowledge in all the subjects with in-depth knowledge in at least two subjects.

Workshops and Faculty Development Programmes should be organized at regular intervals at higher education level so as to enhance skills of teachers. Incentives should be given to teachers who pursue research objectives at higher level.

We see that becoming an engineer or doctor is the preference of students with good scores because of the income that could be generated. Hence students with low grades opt teaching and turn they are the one who educate the next generation. Teaching profession should be brought at par with other professional courses in all means and teachers with the best skills should only be engaged in teaching the future generation especially the primary classes so that their basics are set best.
