A student from university or college should be able to persue research so that he/she could research on new things and take this nation to new heights and only a teacher who have persued research can teach how to research on the subject therefore PhD should be made compulsory for teaching in higher education and PhD candidates should be preferred in selection UGC 2009 Regulation should be implemented only on candidates registered after 2009 not on all PhD holders as done by earlier Congress govt

What a pity it is that UGC Regulation made in 2009 and implemented in 2010 has disqualified mostly all the teachers who have taught us according to it a simple NET is eligible but a PhD holder is not elible to teach in higher eduacation What was the fault of the PhD candidates registered before 2009 if there was no provision of course work or enterence for them in several universities PhD holders registered before 2009 should be exempted from compulsion of NET like the PhD holders after 2009
