Views are elicited so that our higher education institutions can nurture good faculty who in turn can propel higher standards in our students.

for me....the basic thing which matters is the teacher himself...how he feels about his job. Is he proud of it....now.I feel its not that teachers are not qualified or so...but are they willing to teach the best thing is the issue.

Teacher career should start after 10+2. At this level appointment can be made on contractual. In this system there should be provision of attaining higher degree (Graduation/B.Ed/Master/PHd/ M.ed) through open / online course from reputed institution like IGNOU or through study leave. As higher degree is attained promotion like contractual to permanent to higher grade should be given to teacher.

Children of primary school teacher should me admitted in government primary school. Today all the children of primary school teacher get their education in private institute or school. What is the reason why primary school teacher is not admitted their own children in government school?

We have best models through out the history. Starting from Valmiki, Narada, Vyasa, Sandipani, to Chanakya and Dr. Radhakrishnan. There should be compulsory arrangement to our teachers to read all these personalities. It will definetly influence present day teacher genararion.

Best talent should be promoted to join education sector by providing better atmosphere and facilities in teaching sector. Specially school teachers should not be forced to do other duties like different surveys etc. They should be told to just focus on teaching and rest of school work should be handed over to other non teaching staff.

NAAC [ National Assessment & Accreditation Council]rating is being made compulsory for colleges.This is a good initiative but involves costs.Govt should announce cash subsidies [ up to Rs 5 lakh] for those colleges opting for NAAC audit and ranking.
