Gandhinagar, a future ready city with enhanced infrastructure and environment friendly practices is in the race of becoming a ‘smart city’ in round 3 selection of upcoming smart cities by GoI. Citizens are required to discuss and give their feedback on the Gandhinagar Smart City Proposal. . The draft proposal is created on the basis of exhaustive consultation with different groups of citizens on challenges facing the city and citizen aspirations, city profile and future development plan, financial and implementation feasibility to make the development and services self-sustainable and future ready with ultimate goal of turning Gandhinagar into a future ready city that provides good quality of life to its citizens by providing sustainable infrastructure and services through confluence of physical and digital realms. You are requested to go through the attached proposal here and provide your kind suggestions on the proposal by 9:30 PM, 27-Mar-2017.

To avoid traffic, the parking place may be developed at the entry level of the city, where one can park his own vehicle and uses the public transport to commute in the City. This would definitely save not only the fuel, but reduces the pollution, traffic conjunction. The parking place would be in motera in Ahmedabad & near CH-0 Circle at Gandhinagar.

Kindly make the public transportation more effective so that public uses the public transportation and kept his own vehicle been parked in their home. The distance between Gandhinagar City and the Ahmedabad is normally 15km (min ) to 40km ( maximum) The people travels mostly are choosing their own vehicle, due to not availability of the public transport. In case the effective public transport available the numbers of vehicle would be decreased to great extent.

The Smart city should have smart connection. Smarty city should be connected to daily commuters, Tourist, Railways, Public safety authorities, shipping ports, Airport, Freight carriers and to government dept. If all this get connected it will make the city more safer, efficient and more mobile world. With leading technology you will connect the machine. The recycling plastic is big problem of Government. For this I had one suggestion. In order to make smart city road more durable the Government can use the Recycle bottles, plastic material which is in waste form. The plastic can be melted along with Tar and can be used in construction of road this will help to create more durable roads & will extend the life or Roads, even potholes can be fixed by using mixture of tar & recycle plastic Thus Government can solve the problem.

The Smart city should have Parking Tower it should be constructed by using new technology it will resolve the parking problem for city, Junctions. Even it can have Car Wash System and Maintenance Department for Cars. Smart city should have smart building, Complex & smart infrastructures. The energy should be provided form geothermal power from which is renewal energy from earth. All the flats should be connected with optic fiber & with internet connection & should be interlinked with each flat with video door camera. Waste should be collected by underground gas system. In respect to Rajkot smart city,I want to suggest that,Infrastructure development and Industrial development is very important,but, enviorment is also very important, pollution free atmosphere is very important for health of the people, hence, proper care should be taken to control the pollution,specially air and water pollution is great problem should be resolved,green revolution in city should be implemented by plantation programmes all over the city by NGO and other institution,best wishes
