Karnal City- The city of Danveer Karan, also known as ‘Rice Bowl’. The city falls in NCR Region & lies between Delhi & Chandigarh in Haryana, known for its Rice productions, agriculture implementation industry and leather cluster. The city also hosts many prestigious research institutions such as NDRI, ICAR, NBAGR and Kalpana Chawla Medical College.

Karnal city is one of the two cities in Haryana shortlisted for Smart City Challenge by MoUD, Govt. of India. Municipal Corporation Karnal urges the people to actively participate in finalizing the Smart City Proposal for Round-3 by suggesting comments and changes to be carried out in the draft vision, goals and projects.
