It is observed that local language content are very low on the internet. These may be enhanced by collective efforts of all the stakeholders. Government is making available, the Linguistic Resources developed under the TDIL Programme, on Open Government Data (OGD) Platform. Stakeholders may exploit these existing resources developed with Govt. funding for providing language technology solutions.

In the case of language technologies area the linguistic resources developed under DeitY funded projects shall be made available in open domain through www.data.gov.in (Open Data Platform created under National Data Sharing and Accessibility Policy of DST, being maintained by NIC). The data shall be made available under the Creative Commons License.

With the implementation of the above, users will be able to download the Indian language resources from www.data.gov.in and they will also be able to contribute their data. The existing DeitY R&D Policy is proposed to be amended for making Linguistic Resources available on Open Government Data (OGD) Platform.

Policy on Language Resource in Open Domain is a praiseworthy initiative. Researchers on NLP are requesting for sharing the knowledge created under public fund in Open Domain since long time. I also have an opinion that Private Companies working in NLP field should also be shared their works in Open Domain, since they are availing Income Tax exemptions under “Corporate Research Activities”

Dear PM Sir This is a suggestion to handle current political issues in country. In next all lavel of elections you should request for vote from voters.. relating current parliament and raj sabha meetings.. All vote and opposition win encourage opposition not to allow central government development work. Thus country development is de ralaid. Vote for bjp to ensure that no more disruption of lok sabha and raj sabha. Save country save country money that lost due to parliament disruption.

It's really praiseworthy initiative. We all are well aware that if we provide education or other information related data in our mother tongue and regional language then we can help our countrymen in bringing best and moving on the path of excel.Open data source may bring drastic change in our grooming by providing better understanding in his/her own mother or regional language. Priority should be given to regional and mother tongue as Art 350A,350b and art 351 says in this concern. Sachin Verma

local Language content must be enhanced on Internet sine most of the people in India are not user-friendly of English. They have hesitation either in writing of English or to understand the English.Best use of Internet may be only when it will be available in local language.A person may express his own ideas in local language only.Govt of India may opt such policies so that we may provide internet in local language.

Dear PM, Government should tap on the potential of multi-lingual country like ours. You can create more interpreters and translation job opportunities in legal domain, government documentations, inter-state communications, and other areas. You must focus on creating job opportunities within the country's border, instead of depending on Foreign investments for industries to expand. Please focus on recycle economy, create more GREEN jobs and make people's life inline with nature

It's a great initiative. A few suggestions: Resources under this programme should be available for the languages listed under Schedule 8 of our constitution, as many languages find sparcely spreaded population. This should also entail alot of interest among people for learning mother tongue languages. The resources could be provided on form of videos as in the CEC format for topics available on YouTube. Later this facility could be extended for popular foreign languages.#LinguisticResouces
