Chilika is the largest lake in the world which is connected to the sea and therefore has brackish water sustaining brackish water flora,fauna and marine life.The government of Odisha has utterly failed to developp Chlika as a world class tourist destination.Mafia has taken over the lake and dont let any development take place.It is important that a high level task force is set up by the GOI to explore the potentials and invite enterpreneurship in developing this world class lake!
