With a dramatic growth in elementary education enrolments and improvements in retention and transition rates in recent years, particularly amongst the more disadvantaged groups, there is an increasing pressure on the secondary schools to admit more students. With the enforcement of RTE Act and further improvement in retention and transition rates, demand for secondary schooling will grow rapidly in the coming years. The objective of this discussion group is to assess to what extent we have made quality education available, accessible and affordable to the target population in the age group of 14–18 years. How we can increase access to post elementary education across the country in a manner so as to ensure no child is denied the opportunity of completing his/her school education. In particular, how can we address the geographical and social disparities in secondary education?

All teachers after their degree must have a compulsory service of two years in rural area schools which will reduce the shortage of teachers in such areas.They can be provided with allowances for their expenses.

As all know there is reservation category at every steps of Indian life, even the noble profession HEALTH SCIENCE education, MAHARASHTRA has 53% category reservation, above MARATWADA, VIDARBHA reservations. This reservation category should increase to 80% to 90% & the rest for the richer class so that there are more reservation category & richer class students. the middle class to search education to other countries and serve then.

Traffic rules. India needs to create new traffic rules based on present condition, technology and future trend learning from developed nations. And it should be part of curriculum, because people safety is important. Along with +2, student can undergo driving licence training and shall be given licence or atleast graduate level

Life cycle finance?. Today many earn good salary, but few are aware difference between depreciating purchase (car) and appreciating purchase (house). A educated person should know his present financial need, future (children edu, medical, marriage, retirement etc) and investment options like fixed deposit, share, mutual fund, govt bonds, tax saving methods, retirement policies, etc

In india, the school education is completely materialistic and have no point in applying them for future work and research. The specialised subjects with national interests should be taken into consideration for educating the students, for example natural farming, horticulture, waste water management, e-waste recycling, sea water desalination, Basic IT skills.

the policies have become just policing on the teachers and that too is because of the non deserving teachers who have got the job just by cheating and are aggressively involved in such racket earning lakhs.There is complete nexus of such teachers / babus / police / politicians and there is no hope as such to improve the system and standard of education. The real honest,intelligent and hardworking teachers are spoilt in the office works/bill formations/scholarships/RTIs for having zero IQ boss.

Continuing.. 3) Many people get through this exams using money. 4) Many other factors. Solution: 1) Exams should be conducted online so that exams leakage and cheating can be stopped. 2) Then interview can be conducted as per requirement. 3) Also recruitment of teachers can be done form the collage itself like IT companies do. 4) Just go to college and select the students from a university. For Delhi, you can find lots of capable students in Delhi university.

One of the biggest problem in government schools is the availability of teachers. Ratio of teachers and students is skewed and quality and knowledge of the teachers another factor. Main concern is why there is shortage of teachers. Government recruits the teachers through examination process which as following well known issues: 1) Exams are not conducted regularly. 2) Most of the time paper gets leaked and due to this sometimes exams cancels.

A country should be called as developed country if only the education policy must be on a track. Today in every classes, we saw most of the students are take interest in coaching classes. Teachers are least bother whether the students are learning or not. They are doing only business.But if do something in school premises then may India will go on track.

Two Suggestions: As we wait to get the right and adequate supply of teachers, why don't we convert the students into teachers. So yes, the students will also be trained. This helps in two ways. You might have heard about this- 'One time teaching is two times learning' So the students are learning and teaching both at the same time. The other way it helps is as the teachers monitor students who are teaching the pupils, even they will realise their shortcomings to improve teaching skills.
