With a dramatic growth in elementary education enrolments and improvements in retention and transition rates in recent years, particularly amongst the more disadvantaged groups, there is an increasing pressure on the secondary schools to admit more students. With the enforcement of RTE Act and further improvement in retention and transition rates, demand for secondary schooling will grow rapidly in the coming years. The objective of this discussion group is to assess to what extent we have made quality education available, accessible and affordable to the target population in the age group of 14–18 years. How we can increase access to post elementary education across the country in a manner so as to ensure no child is denied the opportunity of completing his/her school education. In particular, how can we address the geographical and social disparities in secondary education?

One of the important goal of education system at secondary level should be to identify gifted and talented children across the country and nurture so th e talent in best Central schools set up in all states. In the schools which should be residential fees should be graded as per parents income and students who pass out from these schools shd be given scholarship and option to study abroad in Top rated schools.By doIng so world class eminent Indischolars in a number of disciplines will emerge

1) merge central state and matric boards have uniform grading system so that state board students who learn by rote and score do not get unfair advantage over cbse 2) cbse i is a very good curriculum encourage schools to take it up. The vertical learning which is taught is concept based and taught in great detail. 3) have a separate grading system which will assess students whether they will be fit for their chosen higher education. This must be a mandatory assessment sys from class 8

As all know there is reservation category at every steps of Indian life, even the noble profession HEALTH SCIENCE education, MAHARASHTRA has 53% category reservation, above MARATWADA, VIDARBHA reservations. This reservation category should increase to 80% to 90% & the rest for the richer class so that there are more reservation category & richer class students. the middle class to search education to other countries and serve then.

शिक्षा के बाज़ारीकरण के दौर में अच्छी सही और उचित शिक्षा दुर्लभ होती जा रही है। जैसे अध्यापक शिक्षा के क्षेत्र मेँ आते हैं वे शिक्षा मेँ योगदान के लिए नहीँ जाने जाते। उत्कृष्ट विद्यार्थी प्रशासनिक पद पर नियुक्ति के लिए लालायित रहते हैं शिक्षण में आने वाले विद्यार्थी, शिक्षक बनने के लायक नहीँ होते; पर किसी अन्य क्षेत्र में रोजगार न मिलने के कारण 'वीर शिक्षक' बन जाते हैं। पढने और पढ़ाने में रूचि नहीं लेते, सारा दोष छात्र व संरक्षक पर डाल देते हैं। क्लास में काम न करा कर गृह कार्य देना धर्म समझते हैं

Gov can bring an ordinance in parliament called ' 10 Din Bachon ke liye'. In this bill every Indian who is employed and their PF deduction is in progress should be asked to spend 10 days of Teaching an interaction event with their nearby school kids. They can share their expertise skill with kids such as awareness on Health by Doctors, Time Management technique by Managers, Accounting by Clerks, Computer short course by Software Engg etc. Government can give award such participants with cert.

Two things can make big difference in spreading Good quality of Education to every child at every corner in India and they are : 1. Proper Road along with Transportation facility. 2. WiFi connectivity at every corner of India. With WiFi we can connect childrens from remote areas to Modern schools of City and they can continue their studies through web conference, seminars. Government can launch a website contains soft copies of NCERT books freely available which can be accessed on Internet.
