With a dramatic growth in elementary education enrolments and improvements in retention and transition rates in recent years, particularly amongst the more disadvantaged groups, there is an increasing pressure on the secondary schools to admit more students. With the enforcement of RTE Act and further improvement in retention and transition rates, demand for secondary schooling will grow rapidly in the coming years. The objective of this discussion group is to assess to what extent we have made quality education available, accessible and affordable to the target population in the age group of 14–18 years. How we can increase access to post elementary education across the country in a manner so as to ensure no child is denied the opportunity of completing his/her school education. In particular, how can we address the geographical and social disparities in secondary education?

Every school which has Class VIII to X, they must have competency in atleast 1 field in either scholastic areas (Academic Subjects) or Co-Scholastic Areas (Extra-Curricular Activities) or Sports. For e.g. if the school is good in Science Subjects, then it should enroll students in Class VIII who have aptitude for Science & who have excelled in Science (as per CCE in Classes VI-VII) from all over the country. Till Class Xth, all the students should get exposure of all related fields/subjects.

For Effective CCE, Student's Self-Appraisal /Self-Description is must. By integrating Teachers Team Evaluation, Parents's Appraisal & Student's Self-Appraisal,all the stake-holders will be able to find out the Right Aptitude of the Student. In the subsequent classes(Class VIII to Class X) the student should be given maximum exposure in his preferred subjects relevant as per his aptitude & inclination. The student should choose the subjects@school relevant to his future career based on his aptitude

By the time student enters Class VIII,every school must have Student Profile with them on the basis of Comprehensive Assessment by team of 8-10 same set of Teachers for 2 years (Class VI-VII). These Teachers should not be given any other Teaching/ Non-Teaching assignment for any other classes apart from Class VI & VII.Everyday, they have to observe the same set of students during Academic Classes,Extra-Curricular Activities & Sports. The team of these teachers have to periodically assess students

JBT recruitment in haryana posts 9070 verification of documents is going on but interview marks must be reviewed and verified again according to academic records because it has found that the selected cadidates who possess less marks in academic and in interview they have been given highest marks while the candidates who possess good academic marks they have given given poor marks in interview. it seems there is something wrong in this process of selection also we demand that this also be rview

If Kendriya Vidyalaya & Navodaya Vidyalaya's are a Success Story (as I heard from Media!) then why can't this be rolled out to all district centers atleast! Corporate CSR can be encouraged to build and support this Noble chain of school education. Atleast all the good / aspiring students from Rural areas can be encouraged and admitted there and they can do well and ecel in life!
