A large number of tribal people and other forest dwellers derive their source of livelihood from the collection and marketing of Minor Forest Produce (MFP) which provides them essential food, nutritional, medicinal needs and cash income also. As the business of MFP is different from the traditional ones, it denies due benefits. While government supported Corporations and Federations trade in some MFPs, a large number of these are traded freely in the market which is also not very helpful to the gatherers as MFP production is highly dispersed spatially and because of the poor accessibility of these areas, a competitive market does not exist. As a strategic interventions to ensure fair returns for the MFPs to the gatherers/collectors, the Government has come up with a new scheme of Mechanism for Marketing of Minor Forest Produce (MFP) through Minimum Support Price (MSP) and Development of Value Chain for MFP.

Through the MyGov Platform, the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, seeks suggestions/information from all section of the society regarding innovative ideas for value addition to the MFPs, processing and marketing of MFPs, traditional skill and skill development, etc.

forests in India are fragmented and are unevenly distributed. The rich natural forest produce has great demand in domestic as well as international markets. This is still not accessible to many. So the state and central governments should take the responsibility of advertising the unique products of their respective jurisdictions and trademarking the products can go a long way to ensure the quality of the products and enhancing the trust in the international markets.

I believe that people can help themselves more easily and solve their problems than others. There has to be selection of candidates among themselves and appointed as the govt. representative their who takes all the produce and tries to ensure a market for them at the cities. On the other side these tribal places should be self sufficient and encouraged to meet their needs themselves. Also the younger generation should be given ample opportunities for growth and education.NGO can adopt areas lik.

Few problem I am writing below 1. Quality control of food item should be there; good packing with adequate information on packet required. 2. In big shopping mall products should be available without increase in price. 3. A high price rise of product occur when it reaches to market; it should control 4. Chinese art item should be ban, because no quality and it is damaging our environment 5. Institute like IIT and NITs should be involved to improving overall quality of product.

Similar to RBI's financial inclusion plan for certain business for which loans are provided. New law must be passed to ask e-Commerce companies to facilitate sales of forest produce and remote areas products. Deliver can be handled by postal department. The marketing must be through new facebook and twitter account. NIC can develop separate website and online shopping portal for them and all forest produce must be sold through apps also. other e-commerce will pick details of these sellers.
