The mandate of the Ministry of Culture is to preserve, promote, explore and share India’s culture and heritage along with ethos and values for the benefit of mankind. For achieving this Mission, the Ministry undertakes the following activities:

• Maintenance and conservation of heritage, historic sites and ancient monuments
• Administration of libraries
• Promotion of literary, visual and performing arts
• Observation of centenaries and anniversaries of important national personalities and events
• Promotion of institutions and organizations of Buddhist and Tibetan studies
• Promotion of institutional and individual non-official initiatives in the fields of art and culture
• Entering into cultural agreements with foreign countries

The functional spectrum of the Ministry ranges from creating cultural awareness from the grass root level to the international cultural exchange level. Details about several Schemes which are administered by Ministry of Culture for providing financial assistance for promoting cultural activities are available on the Ministry’s website (http://indiaculture.nic.in/).

Also, various organizations under the Ministry of Culture organize cultural programs and events from time to time.

The Ministry has decided to invite suggestions from the public regarding innovative ideas for effective use of Media in promoting Indian Culture and Heritage.

It is requested that the individual suggestions may be limited to about 200 words.

Dear Modi Sir, Muncipal authorities are most corrupt in HYDERABAD there is lot of air pollution along with water & land pollution due to littering & poor waste-disposal systems. REPORTS COMPLAIN THAT SWACCH BHARATH IS UNSUCCESS IN HYDERABAD & BEING ONLY FOR NAME SAKE BECAUSE WORKERS ARE JUST ONLY ACTING WITHOUT CLEANING MUCH & TAKING SALARY FOR ENJOYING THEIR OWN SELFISH BENEFITS. WATER-vapour JETTING INTO AIR wil tackle air pollution problem like in china's polluted sites & polluted INDUSTRIES.

Dear Modi Sir, especially in cities like Hyderabad & Kolkata there is lot of air pollution along with water & land pollution due to littering & poor waste-disposal systems. REPORTS COMPLAINING THAT SWACCH BHARATH IS UNSUCCESS IN HYDERABAD & BEING ONLY FOR NAME SAKE BECAUSE WORKERS AARE JUST ONLY ACTING WITHOUT CLEANING MUCH & TAKING SALARY FOR ENJOYING THEIR OWN SELFISH BENEFITS. So,water-vapour BOOSTERS be should tackle the problem like in china to reduce air pollution for giving jobs to people

I've an idea to promote cultural heritage . We must make a small video which includes all the cultures and even dances also and much more . Because if we express our view in video it will reach the large people and they must be shown in cinema theatres .

This is a very effective initiative in promotion of Indian culture and heritage. we need to evolve intra cultural exchange programs like kala utsav and project "MIME ART" "PUPPET SHOW", "YAKSHAGANA" "KTHAKALI" "DRUM DANCE" ETC with subject on national and regional channels through the help of media and other social mediums to herald the antiquity and reminiscence of indian ethos.

1. Start special buses only for tourists between tourist spots/heritage sites. 2. Place catalogs/books showcasing city's heritage/spots/programs/events at railway stations and bus stands for refer. Same details should be available on app/website. 3. A vending machine should also be kept here so people can buy smart tickets. With one smart ticket person should be allowed to enter any tourist spots and avail the special buses for complete one day free. 4. Ads in newspapers, TV for above.

I think restricting the ads / promos on Western culture like Halloweens day, the perverted way of celebrating Valentine's day etc would be effective to some extent. This has to be done gradually and can't be done over night. Media should try to bring awareness in the public, particularly in the youth (a majority of whom are either inclining towards the Western cult or are becoming atheists) and promote our own cultural heritage by letting them know of the importance of our cultural heritage.
