To continue with my previous post, the insurance can be claimed as a cashless facility at any hospital, public or private. Drug and medical consumables manufactures, medical equipment manufacturers should be given guidelines for pricing, and a ceiling set for promotional/advertising costs as a percentage of the yearly budget, so that prices remain controllable, making healthcare affordable.

health care should separate from public health dept. profit margin in medicines has to be fixed. compare the generic to branded. manufacturer to marketing . it is 10-15 times. you can express in %. plug all loop holes. in this one field alone , can make sea change for common man , if one sincere. till then one or the other kind of AAP keep arise.

Compulsory Health Insurance for all is a must. Every person having a bank account ( as many of these will not file IT returns) will have 0.1% of the interest paid out at the end of the FY deducted as insurance premium. However, to achieve parity, of the total amount accumulated, partial deductions will be made during claims in case the illness arises out of smoking , alcoholism or drug use. No person, irrespective of age, shall be excluded from the benefits of insurance, however late they enroll

so i strongly feel best way is, for general public health service , improve , up grade, expand govt hospital with medical colleges. kind of service govt medical colleges do is not done by private. one of the reason is the kind of student come to govt colleges are on merit ,more genuine.govt has consider this logic first.

national health insurance for general public is not good idea.it will benifit mostly the private / corporate hospitals.it actually means we ( govt hospitals) are not good enough, you have to go to private set up. i dont know delhi but seen and worked in bombay - both muncipal and govt hospitals, kind of service they provide is better than private .when that is possible even with existing system, imagine with a good manage ment with out corruption , definetly can be done far better.
