Invest in provision of potable water and clean toilets in villages on a war footing basis. First priority should be tribal pockets which have worst indicators. In urban areas big programme to check /reduce consumption of junk food, salt and sugar reduction and avoid street food at dirty thelas everywhere. Even in Delhi educate people eat chola bhatura, bread pakora etc in many times fried oil which may be crude palm oil ( not edible). Cant we promote some healthier options??

FIRST EVERY NOOK & CORNER RURAL AREA PEOPLE +CHILDREN ARE TO BE GIVEN PURE DRINKING WATER IN A SAFE CONTAINER. MAKE THEM DRINK ONLY THIS WATER AND NOTHING ELSE. GOV+PUBLIC PARTICIPATING WILL PROVIDE ALL THE MEANS TO REACH TO THE MOUTH OF RURAL. THEY SHOULD BE TOLD PURE DRINKING WATER IS GOD & HAVE TO RESPECT & USE IT VERY CAREFULLY ONLY FOR DRINKING PURPOSE. THIS WILL REDUCE THE HEALTH CARE COST BY 70%. PREVENTION OF SICKNESS IS BETTER THAN MEDICATION AFTER FALLING SICK. PREVENT SICKNESS FIRST.

Improving the image of Nursing as a profession in the country would be really helpful in getting better talent into Nursing. Nursing as a career is looked down by many, with it being considered a low profile job, with low social status thanks to such portrayal of nurses and added sexist tones provided in the media and in the movies. If as part of the national health plan a provision is also allocated to improve the image of Nursing, possibly through a video campaign explaining what they do!!

Dear Sir .Central Government along with State Government should get residents of India should get group medical insurance like corporates to reduce financial burden on government .secondly for tax payers citizens there should be some discount available for medical insurance .The OPD and Surgery fees at Government hospitals should be increased and subsidy should be transferred to eligible if required the way its happening for Gas cylinders .Regards

Over all very good draft. Can be improved by providing guidance on capex in health for at least 10 percent of expenditures. Focus on quality of HR in health sector especially private medical and nursing schools; this sector is second important source of black money generation and no accountability. Focus on HTA and use of evidence based protocols for management to bring in efficiencies. Big effort needed for management of health insurance as TPAs model does not have any interest in contr. costs.

Please stop the sale of alcoholic drinks. Close all the liquor shops in india. Alcohol poses serious health problems. It is also the main reason why still many families are poor. Many poor men spend all their money in alcohol and it spoils their whole family. Even our neighbouring countries like Pakistan and Bangladesh have completely banned alcohol consumption. Why should alcohol banned only in Gujarat ? Why not in other states too?...A request from a 15 year old boy from Tamilnadu. Please stop.
