Sir, another contentious area is that of medical equipments. With the government's stress on Make in India, isn't it time to have medical tech parks in every state which will cater to the growing need for quality medical equipment. Hospital, laboratory & diagnostic test bills can be significantly reduced if we produce high tech equipments / scanners / arterial catheters & stents / scopes etc. in India. We do have the know how, but our quality control is simply not sufficient, hope to see changes

Sir, with a certain decrease in the trust level between doctor's & patient's and public awareness of litigations, defensive medical practice, as in the Western countries, is slowly making its way here, may not be viable. In this context, the concept of Family Physicians should be encouraged after initial training, will help in building trust, decreasing cost of unnecessary investigations & hospital stay and probably better long term care for patients & their families.

Sir, recent times have seen the greater involvement of health insurance, with several hospitals insisting of health cover. It is easier for patient & hospital, but generally does not cover OP services and may be prone for misuse by hiking rates or at times even unwanted procedures in the wrong hands. However, Aadhar linked smart health cards for non IT payees will help in them getting the benefit of state health care without fuss, should include OP services.

Inland waterways - would boost tourism, travel and offer multi-modal transport services across the country. North eastern states can be better integrated with the rest of the country since rail/road transport is subject to frequent naxal attacks. Security services and safety standards for water transport would also be of paramount importance.

Sir, most of what ails this beautiful country can be attributed to an expanding population. Few states have met birth control criteria which directly measures with MMR, children's health & overall development. It is necessary for the government to take up population control more seriously, in a mission mode. If not, some states are going to have a greying relatively prosperous population & the others will be populous but with limited resources, leading to greater societal discord.

Sir, the cost of medicines keeps varying. The generic formulation may cost low, but often with unnecessary combination preparations, the drugs are made costlier. It is time for the government to insist on formulaic preparations. Also, the improved diplomacy with the USA should help us to negotiate through patenting problems to help us with newer medicines and also for our pharma companies to market in the USA. The NHP should also limit OTC drugs & insist on prescriptions, preferably digital.

Hon.PM Sir, As A Medical professional myself I would like to suggest my idea for better rural medical care.Sir due to lack of proper infrastructure and facilities most of the young Doctors are not interested in giving their services to rural sector.I suggest Govt. to plan a small Medial village with all the modern facilities for the Doctors and patients.Hospital to have all the basic but latest equipments with minimum of 50 beds. And for Doctors,a good house with all basic luxury and good pay..

Ayurveda is our own science but due to Governments and even CCIM attitude we r lacking and the condition is every Ayurvedic Doctor is facing inferiority complex.Student choose Ayurved only after rejected from MBBS.Why this condition? If MAKE in India is ur motto than why not India First or Ayurveda First? In PHC level in NRHM we are facing daily discrimination by Allopathic lobby. Why not full powers to Ayurvedic Department & to provide two separate buildings for Ayurved & allopathy in same village

Sir, with health awareness & medical therapy, longevity has increased. There are several elderly people who live alone and many who have ailments that require them to have assistance. The terminally ill will also require assisted living. In this scenario, it is time for us to think of specialised assisted care centers, hospices, home nursing care & pain management centers which need to be registered, regulated & staffed with trained personnel. At present only the very rich have access to these.
