A Committee on Net Neutrality has submitted its report to the Department of Telecommunications. Its recommendations broadly contain technical, regulatory and public policy related measures required with respect to Net Neutrality issue.

Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) is also currently engaged in consultation process on the issue whose recommendations are awaited.

It is emphasized that the views expressed in the report are that of the Committee and not of the Government. Your valuable comments, wide scale consultations, as also the report of the TRAI will help the Government to take appropriate decision on the issue.

1. I DON'T WANT Net Neutrality to be defined by telecom companies. 2. I DON'T WANT telecom companies to control WHAT we access on the Internet and they CAN'T charge us money for accessing certain websites/applications on the Internet. 3. I WANT to be able to access anything, at any time, without having to pay more for it separately. 4. I DON'T WANT licensing for Whatsapp, Viber or any other app we use. 5. Access to ALL content on the internet should be accessible to every Indian citizen

Large population of Indians are still not connected, they should get connected to Information Infinity i.e Internet. getting connected will help them access relevent information, right decision making, learn and share... They deserve a chance... #NETCAN.. I support #NetNeutrality

I completely support net neutrality and not the plan supported and designed by telecom companies. I am completely against licensing of apps like whatsapp and viber. And I want everyone should be able to access everything on internet free of cost and categories.

Net Neutrality means access to EVERYONE and EVERYTHING without discrimination. Telecom operators Cannot/Should not D efine/Change the definition of Net Neutrality. We do not want creation of private walled gardens of the internet. If digital India is true to be realized. We want all to have a fair chance to succeed without having to partner with the some Telecom or some government representative to decide what is or can be on the internet and what cannot.

I don't want telecom companies defining net neutrality.They already charge enough for 3G & 2G services.The PM endorses digital India,startup India & Make in India.I hope he knows how much net neutrality Is important for us.I want to be able to access everything at any time on the Internet, without having to pay more for it separately. I don't want licensing for it separately. I don't want licensing for whatsapp, viber or any other app I use.

Hi, Internet should be kept common for pubic use. There should be net neutrality. No companies should fiddle as internet was not discovered by them. Internet quality of service should be same for all applications. Companies should not be allowed to tweak internet quality based on their apps. Govt should not support private companies to meet their selfish ends. I m against companies to handle apps data differently (different quality of sevice). I stand for net neutrality.

Ney neutrality is an important part of advancement of society..... If Kolkata can give free WiFi then why we can't have internet.org?

I totally support #netneutrality. Internet is the only place where we can interact freely, if even that is taken away from us we will be like slaves. I am positive that the government #mygov will support net neutrality and will not introduce this rule.

The DoT Experts Report noted that a free and open Internet, available to all Indian citizens, is key to our country's future. Despite that, telcos are already violating net neutrality and endangering that future. The Govt should pass regulation immediately to protect net neutrality in India - the status quo of mere promises is not enough. Furthermore, the Govt must commit to protecting net neutrality in law in India. Don’t take five years to decide this.
