A Committee on Net Neutrality has submitted its report to the Department of Telecommunications. Its recommendations broadly contain technical, regulatory and public policy related measures required with respect to Net Neutrality issue.

Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) is also currently engaged in consultation process on the issue whose recommendations are awaited.

It is emphasized that the views expressed in the report are that of the Committee and not of the Government. Your valuable comments, wide scale consultations, as also the report of the TRAI will help the Government to take appropriate decision on the issue.

We want complete net neutrality, freedom to access anything and everything from everywhere around the world. For digital India and for that we need to make sure that everyone gets the required resource. Why we need to pay extra charges for any resources when we are paying for the internet that all we are using from telecom services and we are paying for that. Licencing new apps will kill so many innovative ideas in indian minds who cannot pay these heavy license fee. #NetNeutrality #TRAI #MyGov

Net Neutrality means access to EVERYONE and EVERYTHING without discrimination. Telecom operators Cannot/Should not D efine/Change the definition of Net Neutrality. We do not want creation of private walled gardens of the internet. If digital India is true to be realized. We want all to have a fair chance to succeed without having to partner with the some Telecom or some government representative to decide what is or can be on the internet and what cannot.

1. I DON'T WANT Net Neutrality to be defined by telecom companies. 2. I DON'T WANT telecom companies to control WHAT we access on the Internet and they CAN'T charge us money for accessing certain websites/applications on the Internet. 3. I WANT to be able to access anything, at any time, without having to pay more for it separately. 4. I DON'T WANT licensing for Whatsapp, Viber or any other app we use. 5. Access to ALL content on the internet should be accessible to every Indian citizen

I am not popular today , nor is my blog. If the artificial concept of the farce of net neutrality as desired by the Telecom companies is implemented - my voice will never be heard. Users will be economically be incentivized to use services which are already large players and there will be absolutely no room for innovation. Licensing is a strict no no for the internet. Quite to the contrary of what the government is thinking , law should ensure that net neutrality prevails.

#NetNeutrality #MyGov Net neutrality is me being able to access anything on the internet without paying more or less for it. A byte of data should have the same price, regardless of whether it is a VoIP call, or a Youtube video. Telecom should not define policy.

There should not be any restrictions on using the Internet. Charging for National calls for voIP is not a good idea because for all voIP consumers are already paying huge amount in terms of Data being consumed! So Net Neutrality should stay and Internet should be equal to all!
