1.Can follow Bejing method by having a total separate lanes for heavy vehicles passing thru outskirts avoiding pollution.
2. Better planned roads keeping growth and development e.g. underlane flyovers and wider roads.
3.Best time to implement stricter rules and tracking type and frequency of traffic. Putting limitations fines or taxes on older vehicles.

In my view there should be one traffic police or a constable at every diversion points on the road with a flash card TRAFFIC JAM PLEASE DIVERT. This should be applicable for every state must in peak hrs.

We must resolve the problem by effective & administrative joint-steps as;
i) Ensure the "SHARING-SEATS" policy of vehicles while single-driving.
ii) Aware the vehicle-owners on spot to encourage the "HELPING-LIFT".
iii) People of Dadra-Nagar must learn & follow the 'self-assuming' vehicle need.
iv) Use Bi-cycle for reaching destination which is within the 3-Km of perimeter.
And lastly, these all things/action must come thru the Higher level to Lower level

It is astounding to hear that Dadra Nagar Haveli also has large vehicular traffic. More vehicles cause more pollution and thus are harmful for life. Some measures as to weed out old vehicles should be undertaken. This would not only dump the older vehicles but also cut down on pollution

Promote public transportation(metro/RTC buses). Make it cheaper(by means of subsidy, after all only poor/middle class people use it) and comfortable at the same time. In long term losses can be covered as the usage of fuel by the citizens reduces. Tax more on private vehicles.

well that is only possible by re designing our indian roads as there is just one lane for 2,4,6,10... wheelers we need wider roads more traffic lights and our pathways are not sufficient i agree thet there are many foothpaths but we need to understand that there are more people and due to this factor our infrastructure gets riuned and ofcourse w ned to change our traffic rules and must apply strict rules for those who play with our traffic rules
