One of the important endeavors of the present government has been to improve the 'Ease of Living'. In simple words, this means that the citizen-government interface, in matters of daily routine, must be made as seamless as possible and as citizen friendly as possible. Among other things, this has translated into reforming many rules and regulations and in an overwhelming number of cases completely doing away with such antediluvian rules which had not only outlived their utility, but in many cases were frankly anti-people. The mandate has been clear - between the citizens and the governments, the rules and processes must defer to ensuring the ease of living of citizens.

Consider for example the earlier rule of seeking gazetted officers attestation to validate one's documents before appearing in exams. That rule is now history. Trusting the citizens was the mandate and self-attestation is now the new rule. Or consider the move to scrap interviews for non-gazetted Group D, C and B government jobs. In one stroke the entire industry of 'recommendations' has been shut down and pure merit has become the norm.

What are other such outdated and ill-conceived rules, regulations or practices that hinder the normal day to day lived experience of the people? In day-to-day governance issues what are the processes or system that can be simplified or simply done away with? Which are processes that serve the exact opposite purpose they are intended to serve? Rules, regulations and laws that serve no useful social purpose but merely create unnecessary red tape and bureaucracy and therefore need to go?

MyGov invites citizens, members of civil society, journalists, students, teachers, police officers, government employees, Parliamentarians, academics experts, bureaucrats, social media influencers, Think Tanks and all other interested people to give their considered view on the subject.

With the interlinking of data for all RTOs please modify the requirement to change the Vehicle number on moving from one state to another. We should not have to pay additional TAX on every change of state and then keep running to get refunds from previous RTO. My vehicle has been registered in 3 states due to transfers and I have paid TAX in 3 states but not got a single refund. This is a major source of corruption. Please get this addressed.

Sir While calculating the amount for CGST and SGST when it comes to a fraction of rupee, say in paise why don't we make it nearest to a Rupee or even rounded of to nearest tens to make the accounting job much easier and the same rule is already in vogue for calculating our Income tax payments and also in the preparation of Balance sheets.

Sir, The Government discriminate against the PSU officers and staff by following separate yardsticks. Just to elaborate a few: 1. PSU staff have to pay PERKS for office provided accomodation but Govt employee get it without PERKS . 2. Leave encashment for Govt staff on retirement is free of ITAX, PSU staff has to pay TAX on any amount above 3 lakhs on their retirement. 3. Govt employees got enhanced Gratuity from 01.01.2016 but PSU staff get it from 29.03.2018 Kindly look into this.

India has all the required rules and processes in place. The problem lies in the implementation and changing the attitude of the "government babus" from "ruling the citizen" to "serving the citizen". Lot of services are online in which the citizen mobile number is recorded in the process. A simple sms based feedback to random 10% people few days after the completion of service to get feedback on the officer would help. Officer promotion and pay increment to be linked to good feedback.

Respected PM Sir For better life and ease of living there should be a balance between natural resources and society. Our country is now a 134 crores population and ever increasing with fixed resources. We have to understand that our land, forest, fauna, mineral wealth are fixed/limited but consumption are ever increasing which has lead to dis-balance in society by various ways.Control of population is the only solution and we cant consume everything and leaving behind nothing for future.

PM Sir The only one request to work more and talk less. Those who works talks less.Pl asses the real life of ours and think about the people of the ground level and do some thing for them .You may assess as on date the reality of the pain of the poor retire persons, old peoples, and the daily workers. Example PF benefit is available after the retirement from service at old age but you have till date not provide the benefit of the ESIC for the old retire people,it ends on retirement !
