One of the important endeavors of the present government has been to improve the 'Ease of Living'. In simple words, this means that the citizen-government interface, in matters of daily routine, must be made as seamless as possible and as citizen friendly as possible. Among other things, this has translated into reforming many rules and regulations and in an overwhelming number of cases completely doing away with such antediluvian rules which had not only outlived their utility, but in many cases were frankly anti-people. The mandate has been clear - between the citizens and the governments, the rules and processes must defer to ensuring the ease of living of citizens.

Consider for example the earlier rule of seeking gazetted officers attestation to validate one's documents before appearing in exams. That rule is now history. Trusting the citizens was the mandate and self-attestation is now the new rule. Or consider the move to scrap interviews for non-gazetted Group D, C and B government jobs. In one stroke the entire industry of 'recommendations' has been shut down and pure merit has become the norm.

What are other such outdated and ill-conceived rules, regulations or practices that hinder the normal day to day lived experience of the people? In day-to-day governance issues what are the processes or system that can be simplified or simply done away with? Which are processes that serve the exact opposite purpose they are intended to serve? Rules, regulations and laws that serve no useful social purpose but merely create unnecessary red tape and bureaucracy and therefore need to go?

MyGov invites citizens, members of civil society, journalists, students, teachers, police officers, government employees, Parliamentarians, academics experts, bureaucrats, social media influencers, Think Tanks and all other interested people to give their considered view on the subject.

Another request which is from the perspective of data security of Indians. Why our givt. officials are using gmails ids for official purposes? All should use @GOI.IN or @NIC.IN And all the data related to Indians must be stored in Indian soil. Senior most official of every department must be made accountable for it.

One has to pay 5-20-30% in the form of Direct Taxes and then indirect taxes in the form of GST is a heavy burden. With the increased cost of living even a 30% bracket income generator is a middle class. Please do something for the Direct Taxation as the taxes levied is a lot of money and one cannot save for the betterment of their future. We pay taxes for everything and hardly save anything. Abolish Direct Taxation and levy on luxury services if the need be.

In the present system, We have to do the Emission Certificate for the All kind of vehicles every 6 months. Is it required to do this for a new vehicles? Instead of that the company itself can issue a emission certificate for the First five years and after that it can be revised. Now what happens is that most of the vehicle owners will not do the emission certificate and it will leads into corruption when the traffic police catches. Requesting to Simplify this.

PM sir, please do something for the Stamp duty one has to pay at the time of home registration as it is very high or help us with lower EMIs. A standard flat costs a family around 50lacs these days in NCR region and arranging a hefty sum of 5-7% for Stamp duty is a lot of money. A basic 80-20 loan to down payment on a 50lacs flat takes your monthly EMI around 35k-36k/month for 20years @8.35-8.55% interest which is not that easy for one to arrange and it becomes very tough to save too. Please Sir

Dear Prime Minister, I would like to bring to your notice a practice which MWCD is using in your current PMMVY (Matritav Vandana Yojana). Its hugely appreciated scheme and helps poor women in safe delivery of a healthy baby. Question is when its under DBT why the poor lady need to submit physical form (3 times for 3 installments) to get the benefits? These pregnant ladies anyway has to inform Aanganwadi or ANM didi and get registered. During registration, all data could be taken & paid.HELP

One single procedural change is required. Make everything transparent through 'working' and 'functional' websites. Remove personal visit requirements to govt offices. Govt officers not to be allowed to seek information verbally instead in writing. Remove personal discretion of a single govt officer in decision making. It should be a group who decides. Personal interaction to be discouraged.
