A huge amount of Govt. money is spent on subsidy of petroleum products. The Govt. had to spend Rs. 1,39,869 crore on account of subsidy on petroleum products in the year 2013-14. As, the indigenous availability of crude Oil and LPG is limited, these are imported in huge quantities to fulfill the demand of the country.  As Govt. provides domestic LPG and PDS Kerosene on subsidised price, this results in huge subsidy burden on Govt. Due to presence of dual pricing(subsidized and non-subsidized) in LPG and SKO, there is a diversion of subsidized LPG and Kerosene into commercial usage. Although Govt. has taken several initiatives to reduce this diversion of subsidized LPG and PDS Kerosene, public participation is solicited to suggest ways for reducing diversion in LPG and PDS Kerosene.

You are invited to suggest ideas to reduce diversion and the subsidy burden on account of LPG and Kerosene.

I feel subsidy is of no use as it increases the burden somewhere on us only, as Govt. is nothing but a body which manager the countries finances. They collect money from the citizens and give to us in other forms like infrastructure, education, health care etc. after deducting governance charges. If its our money only, why subsidize it some where and increase at other place. So subsidy should be removed from most of the things.

All non subsidized petroleum products should be sold on Retail petrol stations and all subsidized products sold like fare price shop with quota limits. For LPG gas there should be small refill cylinders that can be refill like auto LPG in Cars. There will be no problem and waiting for LPG.For Subsidized LPG cylinder present system is good. There should be separate outlet for subsidized and non subsidized products.

Govt. should immediately form an independent petroleum price commission in line with electricity and telecom commission which will check the price demand of oil and gas marketing companies. Most of PSU refineries are using old technology and cannot refine cheaper crude which inflate the price of refined oil. Moreover the safety standard of Indian refinery are far inferior than international standard. For which the cost of refined oil should have been much lower than international price.

There is a lobby within petroleum ministry which is never interested India become self reliant in oil and gas and always put hurdle in exploration. It is because this lobby earn huge kick-back from oil import. BJP and PM should identify this lobby and get rid of them.

Bangladesh has a lot of natural gas reserve. People has forgot about 30 years ago a survey established huge gas deposit in Sundarban area of west Bengal by ONGC. But that was never explored. Since gas deposit knows no political boundary, Bangladesh deposit can be taken out from wells at Sundarban which is adjacent. Govt. should immediately hand over that block for immediate exploration.

Recently Finance minister came up with idea to exclude financial well to do families from the subsidized cylinders. I am ready to support this idea if the same logic is applied to extend job and educational reservation for the backward casts and economically effluent are excluded from such reservation. If BJP and its PM can really do that I will salute and will prove he has 56 inch chest, otherwise he is another side of the same congress coin who is more interested in vote bank politics

Please increase capacity of the storage of cruide oil as prices are low in the internatinal market, then decide the give subsidy or not? Another issue LPG - I want know what is imported gas prices ans produced gas prices in the India? the gas which is produced in India, Gas prices should be less than the imported gas.
