A huge amount of Govt. money is spent on subsidy of petroleum products. The Govt. had to spend Rs. 1,39,869 crore on account of subsidy on petroleum products in the year 2013-14. As, the indigenous availability of crude Oil and LPG is limited, these are imported in huge quantities to fulfill the demand of the country.  As Govt. provides domestic LPG and PDS Kerosene on subsidised price, this results in huge subsidy burden on Govt. Due to presence of dual pricing(subsidized and non-subsidized) in LPG and SKO, there is a diversion of subsidized LPG and Kerosene into commercial usage. Although Govt. has taken several initiatives to reduce this diversion of subsidized LPG and PDS Kerosene, public participation is solicited to suggest ways for reducing diversion in LPG and PDS Kerosene.

You are invited to suggest ideas to reduce diversion and the subsidy burden on account of LPG and Kerosene.

Sir,All subsidy should be stopped.Poor be given direct cash transfer.People who have opened bank acct during recent govt scheme could be scrutinised for poverty, rest may not require it.No govt servant or permanent employee of pvt company should be given any benefit.Only unemployed and those from unorganised sectors be given the benefit, that too below a certain income level which should be decided judiciously and should be inflation proof. Thanks

Subsidized LPG should not be provided to the High Net worth Individuals (HNIs). Like income tax exemption limit, there should be some reasonable exemption limit to be fixed for subsidized LPG.

Similar to LPG, subsidy on kerosene should be paid through direct cash transfer to eligible families. Quantity of kerosene should be fixed like a minimum of 5 litres (or 10 or 15) per transaction or some logical monthly or annual quota per family. Subsidy can be sent to bank account selling kerosene at market price. Alternatively gradually phase out kerosene in a time bound manner as tried in Delhi

Sir, Kerosine in village my village hardly reach. The shopkeeper gives only 2 Ltr of kerosine on one card if reached on the day of stock arrival otherwise it is sold at market price. Hence it is requested to stop the supply of subsidy kerosine and refund the amount of subsidy directly in the account of the personnel.

simply expand dealers network at block or ward level and the subsidy system through bank is quite right & abolish quota system to the dealers. second the rates of k.oil, diesel, commerciel & domestic gas cylinder should be same, by this routine the black market will be pervented.
