A huge amount of Govt. money is spent on subsidy of petroleum products. The Govt. had to spend Rs. 1,39,869 crore on account of subsidy on petroleum products in the year 2013-14. As, the indigenous availability of crude Oil and LPG is limited, these are imported in huge quantities to fulfill the demand of the country.  As Govt. provides domestic LPG and PDS Kerosene on subsidised price, this results in huge subsidy burden on Govt. Due to presence of dual pricing(subsidized and non-subsidized) in LPG and SKO, there is a diversion of subsidized LPG and Kerosene into commercial usage. Although Govt. has taken several initiatives to reduce this diversion of subsidized LPG and PDS Kerosene, public participation is solicited to suggest ways for reducing diversion in LPG and PDS Kerosene.

You are invited to suggest ideas to reduce diversion and the subsidy burden on account of LPG and Kerosene.

Use of solar energy, Gobar gas(Cow-dung gas) incentive to users who use less LPG i.e. a person consumes less LPG be given incentive for the next LPG cylinder. Each cylinder should have a number that should be linked to the consumer. If the subsidized domestic cylinder is used for other then the purpose the consumer can be linked and be barred for a 15 days for each such activity and may be scrapped the consumer if it is more than 3/4 times. As the consumer does not need the cylinder,

We should encourage more hotels to become more cleaner and better than house standards and supply fuel to them so that mass production of food can lead to better fuel efficiency and reduce time and efforts of individuals with the added advantage of variety and ease of availability and save fuel and bring more safety and reduce inflation and serve more people with ready cooked food rather than all this food bill which is spiking inflation. At least try there should be choice and people will know.

Because every household is cooking and since there are so many regulations on hotels and food departments, we are making fuel retailing to individuals a costly business and food establishments are not able to provide highest quality and hygienic food to customers. Nobody has intention to give dirty food, but this regulatory environment is what is posing a challenge due to which majority of the country is suffering from shortage of fuel to cook food.

Decentralize the gas retailing by storing gas in football like rubber bladder containers to make handling and transport easier. This will also increase safety and also de-regulate the entire sector as early as possible by allowing more private players to operate and just collect excise duty for the sake of collecting some tax if need be. These taxes are what is discouraging producers from producing more and due to supply shortage we get 900 rupeesoncylinder and all this price rise and inflation.

Every car in the household has a dikki, it is parked for 16 hours idly, if it can beused to store some 3 litres of fuel it can save up to 2 kms *10000 cars per day travel to petrol bunk, at the same every auto wala gives petrol in dubba to individuals in need of petrol, then we can import more at a lower price and we can ensure that there is always good demand and fuel is utilized efficiently and better retailing strategy without allthese tariffs, and regulations, and all the other idiosyncracies

KEROSENE IS DIVERTED FOR ADULTERATION OF DIESEL DUE TO ITS HIGHLY SUBSIDIZED COST! EMPOWER URBAN BPL FAMILIES TO SHIFT FROM KEROSENE TO LPG. THIS WILL REDUCE POLLUTION & REDUCE DIVERSION OF KEROSENE. PRICE GAP OF SUBSIDIZED & NON-SUBSIDIZED LPG CAN BE MADE LESS. INCREASE LPG PRICE MONTHLY BY Rs.10-20/- & REDUCE PRICE DIFF TO MAX Rs.200/- ONLY. IT WILL MINIMIZE HUGE SUBSIDY BURDEN & REDUCE DIVERSION. PEOPLE WITH INCOME OF MORE THAN Rs. 10 Lacs per year TO TAKE NON- SUBSIDIZED LPG.
