Promoting the historical values of Vedvyas(place nearby rourkela).
Development of river front along the rivers flowing through rourkela.
Sewage treatment plant and pollution control board.

As said by our PM in the last Mann Ki Baat, the world is now more concerned over the climate change and environment. Rourkela can play an important role in setting up an example by "Go-Smart-Go-Green" initiative where it can encourage it's people to opt for the green energy sources. From home to the street lightings, we can look towards solar power, for vehicles we can look towards bio fuels and CNG, so that our PM could hold his head up in the next climate change summit with Rourkela as a model
