conti........

Local MLAs / MPs should provide their contact details in public places to take complaints. Because they are elected to give a service to us.

Let the various issues of watershed management be identified first. To start with, the obvious concern in a watershed is agriculture and the impact of climate on this. As climate change continues to be a determinant factor of farm productivity and farmers' yields, it is necessary to build, strengthen and maintain preparedness among the farmers to deal with the impact of climate change.

I'm working in Bangalore and staying near Marathahalli, Bangalore. Here I see a lot of Software companies in and around. People from various regions stay in Marathahalli because it is very near to all IT SEZ parks. But the problem is roads, drainage, traffic etc in Marathahalli. I see many banners/Hoardings of politicians celebrating their birthdays or wish people for festivals etc on every each road. Who cares for those banners if roads are not good. Even in marathahalli 80% roads are mud roads

As I discussed in my last post, if we have a network of water reservoirs in form of ponds, wells etc. with the help of millions of Indians, in a situation like today when we have danger of high rainfall due to Hudhud, the surplus water will be stopped in these ponds and wells which can be used in future. It will also reduce the destructive magnitude of the flowing water. It can be done. The only thing required is the willpower to implemeent this with vigour and enthusiasm.

water should not be arrested at a single place for a long time. it will create problems to health and all.. naturally formed pond's are no problem. but water harvesting should be started from the river and should end in the river.. means, we take a connection from a river and in between we make pond's which are inter linked. they supply the people who are away from rivers. the other end of the link pond's will end in another river. this will decrease flooding or draught's especially
