when appointment of VC is by private auction,recruitment of profs. is shared among vc,cm,ministers and officers for a price, we cannot expect improvement.RECOMMENDATIONS,RESERVATIONS,CASTE POLITICS and EGOS have ruined our public universities.CORRUPTION,NEPOTISM have resulted in poor standards.Communist thinking ruined traditional wisdom of our ancestors.Universities now are breeding grounds for selfish politicians,self promoting professors and pseudo intellectuals.NOW YOU KNOW THE PRIORITIES.

I think currently the quality of teachers we are getting is quite pathetic. Teachers universities should come up with innovative ideas and their course also needs to be revamped. Teachers should be updated with the latest technology and proper training should be provided to them

A proper evaluation & revamp of UGC &AICTE is required,it is must.As their is corruption in UGC & AICTE.
