In December 2014 the United Nations declared 21st June as ‘International Day of Yoga’ after 177 nations across all continents of the world co-sponsored a resolution seeking the same.

When the resolution was adopted, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed immense joy on this and said that Yoga has the power to bring the entire humankind together. It may be recalled that the Prime Minister had mooted such an idea during his speech at the United Nations General Assembly in September 2014.

You are requested to provide inputs on the following aspects relating to the marking of the first ever ‘International Day of Yoga’.

(1) How can the ‘International Day of Yoga’ be celebrated at the UN forum?

(2) Suggest creative ways in which the ‘International Day of Yoga’ can be celebrated at the world stage.

(3) What are ways in which we can mark the ‘International Day of Yoga’ across the length and breadth of India?

Best inputs and suggestions would be sent to the Prime Minister himself and would also be utilized.

India should patent the system of Yoga before some country does and also experienced yoga therapist / teachers with out any certificates should also be considered as registered yoga teachers in AYUSH department. Yoga teachers should be appointed in every schools. Yoga should be compulsory in CSR activities. Yoga Therapy center in every hospitals. Immed start giving atleast one yoga session to Mr.Obama when he is visiting india now- Guruji Soham(Raghavendra)

THE PRINT MEDIA CAN PLAY A WIDEN ROLE IN THIS EVENT. PRINT MEDIA CAN VERY EFFECTIVELY ORGANIZE THE "YOGA EVENTS" ON THE LOCAL AREA BASIS AND CAN VERY EASILY IMPROVE THE HABIT OF YOGA IN THE LIVES OF THE PEOPLE, BECAUSE THE PRINT MEDIA IS CLOSELY RELATED WITH THE LOCAL PEOPLE, AND THE COMPETITION ALSO MAY BE ORGANISED BY THE GOVERNMENT FOR THE BEST PERFORMANCE OF THE PARTICULAR PRINT MEDIA, AND APPRECIATE THEM BY GIVING AWARDS. all relief camps must be facilitated with basic trauma control Technic so that, psychologically, effects of disasters can be handled well.... should be taught to improve basic immunity systems in body....

Yoga should be added in CSR list of activities..... voluntary to funding by NRI for such activities should considered as local NGO funding....

Local body's/Morning walkers envelopment is required :- like nukaad meetings- as well 30 mins session at School level may be Govt or Public .

National Yoga School for training of Yoga teachers, should be established, with various branches like General Well-being Yoga, Specific-purpose Yoga, Pranayam, etc. Also, all schools and colleges across the country should have one mandatory yoga class daily (or at least 3 days a week). Something like compulsory military training in some countries.

Doctors, Paramedic, Lab assistants, Pathology clinic, should get aware of basic training... Medical shop & pharmacy shoes & course should also suggest AYUSH practice...Like branded medicine must be noted with generic medicine, basic AYUSH therapy must be made complementary by docs.... There are various parallel running medical outfits... all must propogate AYUSH...... Alopathy doc not ready to suggest AYUSH therapy should be barred from registration / licensing....

India should be the world leader in Yoga by sponsoring visits by yoga teachers to different countries and forming a National Commission for Yoga which will be a certification body for training teachers and providing information to the general public in India and also at various international forums.

Respected Hon'ble Prime Minister Sir Modi, Bharat has given abundant Spiritualism and Yoga to the World, free or on payment.In my small way, I feel that Spiritual teachings, discourses, Yoga, medidation should be imparted to all who wish to recieve, in every capital of the world. At least should be free for 3 days, maybe more. Not only should Spiritual magnets get opportunity to go and preach, it could be a poor village soul who goes every day to light the lamp in his Namghar.more to this.Jolie
