India is one of the leaders in sustainable development and clean energy. With the Hon PM Narendra Modi-led government’s reform-oriented, environment-friendly policies, the country has time & again shown that sound environmental policies can pave the way to a sound economy.

At the UN Climate Change Conference COP26 in 2021, PM Shri Narendra Modi announced the ‘LiFE’, a mission to bring individual behavioural change at the forefront of the global climate action narrative. LIFE or Lifestyle for Environment along with the ‘Pro Planet People’ movement, aims to strengthen the efforts to overcome climate change.

LiFE will replace the prevailing 'use-and-throw’ thinking with an environmentally conscious lifestyle. The Mission is to create a global community of ‘Pro-Planet People’ (P3), who with their shared commitment will adopt and promote environmentally friendly lifestyles.

Individual Efforts Are Key to Climate Commitment

India's traditional knowledge strongly positions it to lead the narrative of addressing climate change. Like many other mass movements, LiFE aims to inspire climate action based on the mantra of ‘Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas’.

MyGov invites you to share your ideas and suggestions on how to adapt to an environmentally conscious lifestyle.

1. Reduce
2. Reuse
3. Recycle
4. Renewable
5. Recover
6. Re-design
7. Re-manufacture

Few examples for the above:
Reduce - Electricity, Fuel Usage
Reuse - Old Clothes, Electronics, Building materials, furniture
Recycle - Plastic, newspapers, cartons, boxes
Renewable - Solar, Wind, Hydro, Tidal, Geothermal & Biomass
Recover - Forests, rivers, soil, mountains, wildlife
Redesign - Green buildings
Remanufacture - E-waste for new purposes

Our civilisational values have taught us the importance of living in harmony with nature. Today, let’s come together to protect our environment & take forward Mission LiFE - Lifestyle for Environment.

Government of India should make policy to get the progress report kind of facilities from MLA and MPs of their consistituncy reason if MLA and MPs where they are residing means own home/native place if they do development then also our country will automatically progress for doing the development of people and providing all opportunities to people and economically we can make them self reliant and villages level there are various issues like employment and living lifestyle and people have very less ways for increasing their financial level government needs to focus on it for betterment of each and every people

Interceptor: an innovative technology to rid the rivers of plastic waste. The Foundation’s goal is to work with private companies, individuals and government leaders to clean up 1,000 rivers by 2025, and remove nearly 90% of the plastic from the oceans by 2040. It consists of a 600-metre-long “floater” on the water surface and a 3.5-metre-deep screen to prevent microplastics from escaping underneath. The latter is impenetrable and creates a downward flow allowing marine life to follow its course. The Interceptor is capable of capturing large debris about ten meters long and microplastics ranging from 0.5 to 5.0 mm. This technology can be deployed on all the world’s rivers, even the most polluted, extracting 50,000 to 100,000 kg of plastic per day. The Interceptor can also store up to 50 m3 of plastic waste before sending it to recycling facilities.

From the beginning of 2014 our government working on cleaning of GANGA River along with other rivers and millions of rupees has been spent on that but still desired success hasn’t achieved because still our system haven’t made any system to stop industrial waste disposal in the rivers and water bodies due to which on place of cleaning it’s going in more worst condition. So to give a healthy and better MAA GANGA’s form to our coming generation which are mentioned in our GRANTHAS we will have to achieve our desired goal by proper management of industrial wastes.

As our government had banned single use plastic in the country which is a good initiative for LiFE but we have already disposed a very heavy amount of plastic in the sewage, rivers, sea in other water bodies in agricultural land and all around ourselves which will be problem for coming 100 years so now government should work on extract those polythene and make proper management system for disposal of those polythene.
