India is one of the leaders in sustainable development and clean energy. With the Hon PM Narendra Modi-led government’s reform-oriented, environment-friendly policies, the country has time & again shown that sound environmental policies can pave the way to a sound economy.

At the UN Climate Change Conference COP26 in 2021, PM Shri Narendra Modi announced the ‘LiFE’, a mission to bring individual behavioural change at the forefront of the global climate action narrative. LIFE or Lifestyle for Environment along with the ‘Pro Planet People’ movement, aims to strengthen the efforts to overcome climate change.

LiFE will replace the prevailing 'use-and-throw’ thinking with an environmentally conscious lifestyle. The Mission is to create a global community of ‘Pro-Planet People’ (P3), who with their shared commitment will adopt and promote environmentally friendly lifestyles.

Individual Efforts Are Key to Climate Commitment

India's traditional knowledge strongly positions it to lead the narrative of addressing climate change. Like many other mass movements, LiFE aims to inspire climate action based on the mantra of ‘Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas’.

MyGov invites you to share your ideas and suggestions on how to adapt to an environmentally conscious lifestyle.

1. Reduce
2. Reuse
3. Recycle
4. Renewable
5. Recover
6. Re-design
7. Re-manufacture

Few examples for the above:
Reduce - Electricity, Fuel Usage
Reuse - Old Clothes, Electronics, Building materials, furniture
Recycle - Plastic, newspapers, cartons, boxes
Renewable - Solar, Wind, Hydro, Tidal, Geothermal & Biomass
Recover - Forests, rivers, soil, mountains, wildlife
Redesign - Green buildings
Remanufacture - E-waste for new purposes

Our civilisational values have taught us the importance of living in harmony with nature. Today, let’s come together to protect our environment & take forward Mission LiFE - Lifestyle for Environment.

Dear Hon.Prime Minister ji, As you are well aware, the Hon. Supreme Court on 3rd June, 2022 directed that every protected forest, national park and wildlife sanctuary across the country should have a mandatory eco-sensitive zone (ESZ) of a minimum one km starting from their demarcated boundaries. While implementing these strict rules, the settlements and lives of farmers on the forest fringes will become miserable. With this order, around four lakh acres of land around the 24 wildlife sanctuaries in the state has been declared as buffer zones. There will arise a situation that about one and a half lakh families living in these zones will be left stranded and without homes. With the implementation of the strict rules of the buffer zones, the farmers in those zones are forced to leave their homes without any benefits or rewards. Hence, I humbly request you to intervene and take measures to address the concerns of citizens/farmers in the buffer zones immediately.

Every citizen should put his/her effort to protect our environment in whatever way possible. Using environmental friendly products at home, government and private organisations has to be made mandatory. Government should limit the petrol diesel free quota to all MLAs and MPs throughout the country. Depending upon the position and power 50% concession and 50% from their pocket money has to be paid to avoid misusing their free fuel allowance. After retirement only some percentage of petrol/diesel will be provided free of cost and if they want more they have to pay from their pocket. This will save more fuel. All free flight travels should also be limited and charged as mentioned above to avoid misusing their power. Even free gas Cylinder quota should be limited. Only citizens cannot do everything always. Elected representatives like MLAs and MPs should also should have limitations in availing free concession. They should also participate and contribute to protect the environment.

cont-- or your life style doesn't define your knowledge of degree in any point of time. So, I totally agree with this fond if we reuse we are not small but our smallest work one day will create a big response for the whole country. We should think about plastics, newspaper or recycling it & giving to the right person so that they can utilize it in right way in the recycle procedure. In the same away all the other R is important for the country and country men to work for this movement and to build a green buildings with green and best environmental nature with best resources to time and energy. If we focus on the above statement we will find all the three criteria comes under this that is Pro - Planet -People. Great times with great people will always so caused in different ways but great work with great environmental procedure will always stands --Positive in the field of SABKA SAATH SABKA VIKAS. Great things are done and found rare, but when it comes it reflects Like DIAMOND
