India is one of the leaders in sustainable development and clean energy. With the Hon PM Narendra Modi-led government’s reform-oriented, environment-friendly policies, the country has time & again shown that sound environmental policies can pave the way to a sound economy.

At the UN Climate Change Conference COP26 in 2021, PM Shri Narendra Modi announced the ‘LiFE’, a mission to bring individual behavioural change at the forefront of the global climate action narrative. LIFE or Lifestyle for Environment along with the ‘Pro Planet People’ movement, aims to strengthen the efforts to overcome climate change.

LiFE will replace the prevailing 'use-and-throw’ thinking with an environmentally conscious lifestyle. The Mission is to create a global community of ‘Pro-Planet People’ (P3), who with their shared commitment will adopt and promote environmentally friendly lifestyles.

Individual Efforts Are Key to Climate Commitment

India's traditional knowledge strongly positions it to lead the narrative of addressing climate change. Like many other mass movements, LiFE aims to inspire climate action based on the mantra of ‘Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas’.

MyGov invites you to share your ideas and suggestions on how to adapt to an environmentally conscious lifestyle.

1. Reduce
2. Reuse
3. Recycle
4. Renewable
5. Recover
6. Re-design
7. Re-manufacture

Few examples for the above:
Reduce - Electricity, Fuel Usage
Reuse - Old Clothes, Electronics, Building materials, furniture
Recycle - Plastic, newspapers, cartons, boxes
Renewable - Solar, Wind, Hydro, Tidal, Geothermal & Biomass
Recover - Forests, rivers, soil, mountains, wildlife
Redesign - Green buildings
Remanufacture - E-waste for new purposes

Our civilisational values have taught us the importance of living in harmony with nature. Today, let’s come together to protect our environment & take forward Mission LiFE - Lifestyle for Environment.

Sub: Need for dry Toilets It is great that PM Ji is focussing on every household should have toilets and governemnt is providing free toilets for under priviledged people in India. I am from suburb of chennai, toilets are attached with septic tanks, not with corporation sewage line. These septic tanks are not constructed with proper guidelines, so human waste waters are mixing with ground water and contaminated. So these ground waters lost their taste became the source of all kinds of diseases. Even Corporation sewage water and Septic tank wastes are not treated properly, and directly sent to water sources like Lake, river and ocean. Already Toilets are available with Human waste that can be treated and separated from water and can be recycled, Solid Human waste can be dried and mixed with soil. Overall this will help save waters, mosquitoes and other contaminated water issues.

Researchers of the Cultured Beef Project remove muscle cells from the shoulder of a cow and feed the cells with a nutrient mix in a Petri dish, and then they grow into muscle tissue. From a few starter cells, one can derive tons of meat. Two Israeli start-ups, SuperMeat in Tel Aviv and the Modern Agriculture Foundation (MAF) in Ramat Gan joined the quest to mass-produce cultured meat, working on cultivating chicken meat in their laboratories, while Silicon Valley-based Finless Foods is promising to produce real fish meat out of stem cells to create more sustainable seafood. This research will reduce slaughter of cattle considerably and see the cow as a sacred animal to be esteemed, not eaten.

My Post no 28 Read all my previous 27 posts UN climate change conference COP26 held on 31 Oct 2021 to 12 Nov 2021 8 months will disappear on 13July 2022 This shows that Niti aayog, mygov and governance not serious about this project Every problem have solution. But government's ego can not solve You want to reduce electricity and fuel usage. Problem - Reduce fuel usage Solution : 1. Cty planning is faulty, Now I can not change old city construction. I have few ideas which can minimize city planning fuel usage 2. Road crossing system need to change. " U " turn based croosing system need to apply. No need flyover, traffic lights and traffic police. 3. Walk campaign to start Problem - Reduce electricity usage Solution - Green building is Solution Now I can not change old construction. But i have few ideas, which can minimise electricity usage So every problem has solution. But government is not ready to discuss with Change maker.

one thing I missed during my schooling is farming as a subject. Trained real farmers as teachers. With this approach many farmers gets employment and student gets environmental science. Kids understand the LiFE (environment) in early stage never go wrong when they grow up. Students should get credit for these activities along with regular merits.

We talk upon modern countries that how they manages the problem in their countries,we talk upon Japan that how developed they are but we never talk what makes these countries successful. The answer is their citizens who not only listen the government advice but also use their own creative ways to tackle problems in their countries which make a systematic campaign from top to bottom and from old to kids. So just like them we will also have to spread awareness among people from rich to poor, from metro cities to marginal farmers working in the field and from kids to old age person because our mentality has become so that every problem is due to government and should be tackled by the government but the fact is that until we will not change nothing will change. Any government can not fix the problem of 140 crore of population but 140 crores of people can fix any problem in the world. So we will have to understand the man power for building an environmentally sustainable environment.

Dear sir LiFE was a great word introduced by our beloved Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji in UN but the sad reality of our society is that we just listen and work on these types of things for few days and later on we forgets but to actually make this campaign successful we will have to continuously work on this together for a long long time then a big change can be brought in the society.

Hello dear Indian citizen and pm narendra modi sir. I am Saurav Kumar from Sitamarhi Bihar. The use of plastic is a big menace to the environment. Plastic lacks the ability to biodegrade and this means that it pollutes the environment. It is hence imperative to adopt a plastic-free living to reduce the overall impacts plastics have on the environment. some methods which through reduce closes with plastic: 1.Bring your own shopping bags During buy accessories from market. 2.Bring your own cup for tea and coffee. it is funny statement , also more important. 3.Pack your lunch in reusable containers for students, office worker etc. 4.Skip the plastic produce bags. At place use biodegradable bags such as paper bags, jute bags etc. my dear prime minister prime minister this is my opinion .
