India is one of the leaders in sustainable development and clean energy. With the Hon PM Narendra Modi-led government’s reform-oriented, environment-friendly policies, the country has time & again shown that sound environmental policies can pave the way to a sound economy.

At the UN Climate Change Conference COP26 in 2021, PM Shri Narendra Modi announced the ‘LiFE’, a mission to bring individual behavioural change at the forefront of the global climate action narrative. LIFE or Lifestyle for Environment along with the ‘Pro Planet People’ movement, aims to strengthen the efforts to overcome climate change.

LiFE will replace the prevailing 'use-and-throw’ thinking with an environmentally conscious lifestyle. The Mission is to create a global community of ‘Pro-Planet People’ (P3), who with their shared commitment will adopt and promote environmentally friendly lifestyles.

Individual Efforts Are Key to Climate Commitment

India's traditional knowledge strongly positions it to lead the narrative of addressing climate change. Like many other mass movements, LiFE aims to inspire climate action based on the mantra of ‘Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas’.

MyGov invites you to share your ideas and suggestions on how to adapt to an environmentally conscious lifestyle.

1. Reduce
2. Reuse
3. Recycle
4. Renewable
5. Recover
6. Re-design
7. Re-manufacture

Few examples for the above:
Reduce - Electricity, Fuel Usage
Reuse - Old Clothes, Electronics, Building materials, furniture
Recycle - Plastic, newspapers, cartons, boxes
Renewable - Solar, Wind, Hydro, Tidal, Geothermal & Biomass
Recover - Forests, rivers, soil, mountains, wildlife
Redesign - Green buildings
Remanufacture - E-waste for new purposes

Our civilisational values have taught us the importance of living in harmony with nature. Today, let’s come together to protect our environment & take forward Mission LiFE - Lifestyle for Environment.

#SaveSoil Plant trees Soil should be covered No dustbin policy Making people aware about dry and wet waste. Policies need to be framed to collect all dry waste from households and later recycled. Proper places to be chalked for dumping of wet waste and forming fertilisers from same. More awareness on cleanliness in Schools, institutions, colleges, universities etc. Importance of yoga and sports to be popularised. Food for all and that too Healthy should be a goal. Health care facilities for all. More Ayurveda clinics to be built through out country. Emphasis for green and clean environment. Solar energy concept to be popularised. Fuel to be formed from waste as done in Aviation.

Government should ban the sale of harmful pesticides and Fertilizers in the market and give quality products directly to the farmers. Farmers should use only natural manures always. Banning of putting harmone injections to cattles to get more milk. It's really not good to consume such milk obtained using harmone injections and torture them to get more milk. During road widening cutting of trees can be avoided. Using latest technology it can be removed and replanted in unsed lands. In worst case 100 tree saplings has to be planted before cutting a tree. Then only the greenery will remain. Every residential areas should have adequate tress on both sides of the roads to protect birds. Factories causing air pollution by letting out poisonous fumes should be fined heavily and Pollution Control Board should take stringent action on those who pollute water bodies and air. Burring the garbage at dumping yards has to be strictly banned. This causes air pollution and allergy to others.

In the present scenario where natural resources are depleting we are faced with ever highest increasing population and demand we have to think about reuseable technologies in which we can get energy or other products from even the waste to help the mankind .

In India around 700 million people in the rural area are directly dependent on climate-sensitive sectors (agriculture, forests, and fisheries) and natural resources (such as water, biodiversity, mangroves, coastal zones, grasslands) for their subsistence and livelihoods. Climate change and its effects will further reduce the adaptive capacity of dry land farmers, forest dwellers, fisherfolk, and nomadic shepherds, which is already very low.

The Agneepath scheme which has been implemented by the government is causing a lot of resentment in Bihar and UP, in this measure, the big employees should do that those who are desirous of this job should be given this job and whatever loss is there. Demanding what has happened in Bihar and other cities, paan or ₹ 6000 should be taken from all the people so that the loss of the government can be returned to their dues and by this those who will bring money there to get their jobs. would be known that those people were participating in the anger It will be something like this, all the people who wanted jobs will be recruited in the army and when that training is started, it will be running under Agneepath, that is, 4 years of training should be done in which the army should be so tough Training should be done that those who have gone there to be recruited should come back on their own and return home
