India is one of the leaders in sustainable development and clean energy. With the Hon PM Narendra Modi-led government’s reform-oriented, environment-friendly policies, the country has time & again shown that sound environmental policies can pave the way to a sound economy.

At the UN Climate Change Conference COP26 in 2021, PM Shri Narendra Modi announced the ‘LiFE’, a mission to bring individual behavioural change at the forefront of the global climate action narrative. LIFE or Lifestyle for Environment along with the ‘Pro Planet People’ movement, aims to strengthen the efforts to overcome climate change.

LiFE will replace the prevailing 'use-and-throw’ thinking with an environmentally conscious lifestyle. The Mission is to create a global community of ‘Pro-Planet People’ (P3), who with their shared commitment will adopt and promote environmentally friendly lifestyles.

Individual Efforts Are Key to Climate Commitment

India's traditional knowledge strongly positions it to lead the narrative of addressing climate change. Like many other mass movements, LiFE aims to inspire climate action based on the mantra of ‘Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas’.

MyGov invites you to share your ideas and suggestions on how to adapt to an environmentally conscious lifestyle.

1. Reduce
2. Reuse
3. Recycle
4. Renewable
5. Recover
6. Re-design
7. Re-manufacture

Few examples for the above:
Reduce - Electricity, Fuel Usage
Reuse - Old Clothes, Electronics, Building materials, furniture
Recycle - Plastic, newspapers, cartons, boxes
Renewable - Solar, Wind, Hydro, Tidal, Geothermal & Biomass
Recover - Forests, rivers, soil, mountains, wildlife
Redesign - Green buildings
Remanufacture - E-waste for new purposes

Our civilisational values have taught us the importance of living in harmony with nature. Today, let’s come together to protect our environment & take forward Mission LiFE - Lifestyle for Environment.

We need to work on that how to convert waste into useful product like diesel and any other products. If we will get success then we can use waste into useful product and also reducing pollution which will get more environmentally sustainable.

Now time has come to adopt the idea of "living harmony with nature" in a real sense. Because it's not just as a phrase it is the need of the hour otherwise we will witnessed more severe consequences of nature may be more than that of 2013 kedarnath, routine cloud burst of Uttarakhand, repetitive landslides etc. Our words and actions should be matched.

suggestion for LiFE- SAVING RIVERS We are aware that rivers are important source. And the indian tradition of worshipping rivers is these days having a negative impact , rituals should not be given up especially by Indians. What we can do for protection of both is install large size shallow blocks like open tanks having water inlet from river itself but no outlet. This way all types of दोना, फूल ,पत्ती, anything that is supposed to be offered to river goddess can be done thus safeguarding public sentiment and easily collected while cleaning rivers on daily or weekly basis as needed and hence does not contaminate and obsrtuct into rejuvenation process..this can be done by either creating tanks at certain distance from one other or longitudinal to the river/ghats access. Effectiveness is responsibility of both the govt and citizens.I believe initially it should be executed in region where RIVERS are highly contaminated. At last thankyou for asking.

Sir, Recently GoI declared the Vehicle Scrapping Policy. Not only the automobiles but electronic wastes, daily used items like furniture, toys, wearables like chappals shoes and other household damaged or defective items are also very detrimental to the environment and life. Basically these items including automobiles are constructed with four types of materials METALS, PLASTIC, RUBBER and GLASS. These four items cannot decay or mixed with fertile soil. My idea is to crush these four materials and mix it to form a new composite material by blending at non-polluting precess. This new composite material can be made as bricks or sheets or rods. And these can be used for construction of buildings, bridges, roads, compound walls, interlocking blocks etc. And these can be reused again and again Benifits: 1) We can handle these huge quantity of technological wastes and dispose 2) Save soil, water and air 3) Save natural construction materials like Laterite, Trees, etc etc

Sir/Madam, LIFE is wonderful name also stands for “Live In Fresh Environment”. Every one of us have the right to receive best environment from elected government. And it so great to see Modij’s administration is involving us in generating ideas. Municipal corporation should be given the adequate budget to buy machinery and hire workforce to clean the city/town once a week. Guidelines with policy should be defined for garbage disposal and recycle. That will clean plastic waste thrown all over the places. Buildings or societies should be paying penalty if their residents are not adhering to clean policy / guidelines. Grow the grass on the open ground hence air will be clean. Control the air pollution by annual inspection of vehicles that would help in discarding old vehicles. Then people might keep their windows of their homes open for fresh air reducing load on air conditioning. Slowly one by one… day by day… all changes come together to bring dream come true.
